Thats why id never buy a psn card. I'd use a credit card.

NoobisMaxcimus

Make sure to erase the card info from your account when finished or someone else will be probably end up using your credit card as well!

I love single player games and they will never die! FPS games focus on multiplayer because the format begs for it. Don't take for granted the ability to play games with friends in other states and countries. When I started playing video games this wasn't even imaginable. The well for different military based games is being tapped so often that I imagine it is hard to come up with fresh ideas for captivating single player stories so they rely on the thrill of playing with other people. I also believe that the focus on multiplayer has to do with the technology allowing people to play online from all over the world is improving with connection speeds. This has developers wanting to push the envelope (256 multiplayer anyone?) for better or worse. Both multiplayer and single player are important for the continued growth of gaming. The thrill of taking on the story and challenges of a good single player game is what brought the popularity of videos games to this point. Multiplayer or single player? Yes, please!

I add to the "plenty of space around and vertical" camps. Should be all you need and doesn't cost a cent

You are correct, removing the credit card info immediately after you use it is key. However, if you do not there is a very good chance that your info will be compromised and that is what I think shows a lack of appropriate security on Sony's part. If you are going to offer services like auto fund transfer to your store wallet then you should insure that you have sufficient security in place to back it up.

yea, but u cant make or take chances just cuz u think a company should be better when it comes to security. i mean no matter how loyal or good a company is, YOU yourself gotta be on top of things. thats why i always remove my billing info as soon as i make a purchase. but i do understand where u coming from sayin why would sony take this risks. but thats why i dont trust any company. cuz they all after YOUR money, so unless ur( the buyer/user) is on top of ur grind and need to delete ur info right away after purchases

Yea I hear you and i am on top of it but how long will deleting your info immediately after a purchase be safe. You are taking chances assuming that Sony is on top of it enough that deleting the info immediately will always keep it safe. Who knows what devious minds are working on as we type away.

I always delete billing info once used. I cant believe Sony would take such a risk. Btw since we're on this topic, how did that 'psn under attack with that code generator' thing turn up? We couldnt get hacked by visiting the site, we would have to put our info there right?tommyas

I don't know. I never fall for the emails but I'm starting to think that if you have an account with your credit card info listed as part of your "secure" PSN profile that they get pick out by the code generators. In short, if you use a card delete the info in your account immediately after you use it!

Gift cards or use PSN cards. There are two options NOT to use your CC and be charged an interest rate as well as become a security risk since that's all people are really after these days anyway.

Just wipe that clean off your profile and go with either of the other two options. Don't trust anything. I honestly knew it wouldn't last long anyways.

You realize that if you pay your cc bill immediately you are not charged an interest rate right?

I never click any PSN links or share my password with anyone. In fact my general paranoia about info being compromised causes me to err on the side of being over cautious. It was taken from the account info and accessed without knowledge of the password. In the passed I have deleted the card info as soon as I use it but this time i hadn't. Lesson learned! Just be aware the PSn store is not as secure as you might hope and that paying with a psn network card or visa gift card (if you wish to waste your money on that gift card garbage) is the safest bet.
