It just doesn't make enough sense to work!Sexy_Pirate

Actually it doesn't work because it does make sense. I'm surprised that some people haven't noticed this trend yet.

[QUOTE="CommanderShiro"]There are some people on Gamespot who hated the "popular" kids of high school that wore those brands. Candy-Star
I agree.. I think its in trend with I don't get invited to parties or have friends so I hate / don't need friends etc... --> there was a thread on that btw lol

I fit that description except for the fact i did have a girl with me all the time. I don't hate people for frivilous reasons such as what kind of clothes they wear. In fact i don't hate people(as a whole) at all, i just don't see the reason for bothering other people with bs. Let's get to business or leave me the hell alone. Whoever said that man was a social animal was nothing more than an animal himself. Just remember that not everyone thinks the same way.

Also this could've all stemmed from the income gap widening so much in america in the last 40 years that new subclasses have formed within the middle class. I know i'm really reaching here but ah what the hell.

Most of y'all are ignorant when it comes to this. Preppy isn't just a clothing style.. it's a lifestyle. Real preps go to prep schools.. they are very smart. They attend schools like harvard and princeton. They are into sports such as sailing, skulling, polo, etc. They are usually from prestegious families and are very wealthy. They wear clothing brands such as ralph lauren, brooks brothers, lacoste and J crew.

You wrongly assume that the style of clothing associated with the popular kids in high school is preppy clothing.. when it's not. It's just a popular teen clothing brand that is usually worn by the more popular kids in high school... or more wealthy kids. Wealthy does not = preppy.

The_Mac_Daddy

67% think its preppy majority rules

your opinion cannot change the fact. And I don't think most people on this site would know anything about preps anyway.

yes we know what preps are, people who wear Abercrombie and Hollister

and its not just my opinion its the majority

No, you are wrong no matter what people on this site say. Real preps have class. Abercrombie and the like are just wanna be prep clothing companies.

No need to be all dogmatic about it. Terms change all the time on the whim of common usage.

this question was already answered in another thread. no they are not preppy preppy clothes are clothes traditionally worn by students in prep school. ex: Ralph, Lacosta, extNYiVtec

Terms evolve all the time, especially slang. Take for instance the fact that most people nowadays probably wouldn't call you an arse. It's best not to get stuck in just one cultural decade for referrence.

Is this the new forum fad?

But to answer your question, I always see the "preppy" kid's wearing it but I could wear it if I wanted to and Im certainly not "preppy"... So no, I dont think theyre preppy clothes. Just ugly IMO.

Matt-4542

Yeah i guess i "could" wear ugly clothes.

I used the quotations because I dont care for stereotypes.

I was merely referring to your contradiction that you could wear a&f but in your opinion you think they're ugly. Yeah the quotations were the icing on the cake

Why do you care if people hate it? Why else would you ask? To get lies?

Healths Joker. BestVillainin super hero movie history and also one of the bestvillainof all time. He's up there with Dark Vader IMO. He was just so evil. Burning the money near the end of the movie just showed the audience how evil this man really was. It was about killing people and not about the money. When I was watching the movie chills went down my spine. This was because he looked like a completepsycho. And It appeared to be realistic. Its like you know something like this can happen. Which made you hate him. I wanted him to die. But knowing he wants to die to makes you really just want to see him suffer. That is why he easily beats out all of the other batman villian

TO be honest I never liked any of thevillainsin the original batmans. I couldn't take them seriously.

chansaet

you mean kind of like how jack nicholson's joker gave away 20 million just to lure people in to kill them? i dont think alot of the people who think ledger was all that great saw nicholson's performance.

dude I couldn't take that guy seriously at all. He acted more like a clown then someone who wastrulyevil. Making jokes. Dancing with Batman's girl. It didn't look real.

The old batman movies were not serious movies unlike the new ones

I don't understand why though.
