Well since I dont play often enough to warrant buying the DLC for the game, and since the only gametype I would actually prefer to play requires you to have DLC, I feel disappointed and therefore not play the game. Though the overall product was fun I felt that it didnt last long since I got caught onmy games such as the Orange Box, and Call of Duty 4. Halo 3 just dosent get enough love.
Honestly think that achievements are ruinig games in the sense that people will finish the game and never go back to it, I used to be an achievement whore myself, and it dawned upon me that it is completly useless, and now only get the achievements in the games I play , and enjoy the games throughouly long after the 1000 GS completion.
Wow the topic creator is changing the definition of hardcore to fit certain genres. Burnout games were always arcade type crash games, that does not mean a hardcore approach can be used. our talking about dumbing games down not which genre is more hardcore. Any game can be hardcore, most games are designed for multiplayer. Know dumbing down series is not generally a bad thing, there may be useless features that slowed the game down , and excitment is lost, or features that some people like and some people don't.Anyways to conclude A game cannot be hardcore a player can . There will be always people who find some games easy and some hard. Franschises change for the sake of money, dumbing things down makes it easier it does not mean the game is less hardcore, the player just dosent want to be hardcore to the game.
There are certain games you can play, and as long as it dosent involve online you should be able, if it stops downloading, you can just continue downloading later.
