This is not system wars! This is Sony fault for sucking so bad in the face of competion this time around. Blame these issues on Sony for being so high and mighty.
It's time to stop with this Emotion Engine crap. I've been in the next gen phase for about 2 years now with my 360 and I care less about old tech games. Heck, I still have 2 ps2's collecting dust. It's time to stop thinking in the past and move forward. I have a 60 gig ps3 and not once have I played a ps2 game on it. This was marketing hype by Sony to make you think backwards compatibility was important. Look at Sony's plan now! People need to stop living in the past and get with the future. I just don't think Sony's plan was to have people buy PS3's just to play PS2 games. Save yourself $100 dollars and buy the 40 gig which compares well with the 360 premium. And the only reason I have a PS3 is because I bought it for $250 used and it works like a charm; not worth the $500 they were asking for. Maybe if the PS3 games were any good we would not be having this discussion.
The Elite should have came with a built in HD player at that cost. Then I would have givin in. Perfect way to tell the difference between the 2. Why bother if I already have a premium?
All that matters is that the PS3 is sucking now and has been since release. Games coming up for 360 are far better, Wii is cheaper and I give 2 flying birds about the blu-ray hype, just another way of Sony milking more money out of people wallets. Sure would be funny if Sony starts a movie download service on the PS3 network. Soon you will not have to use the precioius blu-ray player.
Thats it! I had money burning in my wallet for a PS3 and it gets beat by last gen technology and to come in dead last. I hope R.F.O.M is still holding everyone over. The PS3 just got stiff armed by the Wii.
I spotted that same brand "AKAI" but different size at my local Sams. They had the 42" 1080P sets for $799 on clearance. I stayed clear because the PC input only goes up to 1600x1200 resolution and not the full 1900x1080. I would stay clear especially what walmart is asking for.
Pretty surprised that the scores were even between the 360 and PS3. I guess they did not want to hear a lot of people complaining. I would have knocked something off just for the frame rate hit alone. Heck, even IGN knocked a full point off the score.
