Ok as I agree with almost all of GS's reviews I will have to say goodbye to it. (I will still look at reveiws)

REASONS:

1. It is kinda hard to talk freely about things on here without starting a war.

2. If you say something that may cause a war it gets locked.

3. 360 is clearly the favorite console on this site and I of coarse own a PS3 and I can't take the bashing anymore.

4. FANBOYS

5. FANBOYS

6. ummmmm FANBOYS.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good site that I could talk PS3 peacefully without getting bashed for owning one cause I am tired of people telling me how dumb I am, when I know I picked the system of the future.

What pushed me over the edge is the fact that the Forum topic named (PS4) has still not been locked and it is clearly a bash on the PS3. Where as some of my topics have gotten closed without second thought and i thought they were harmless. go ahead look at the forum topic named (PS4) and just wonder how that got so many posts.

yeah, i agree with everything you just said, when i first joined gamespot which was around mid 2005 (xbox 360 wasnt launched yet), the forums were really peaceful the reviews were unbiased and not much hate in the forums. But then the xbox 360 came to life and all this fanboy, bashing, moderators... came in.

And by fully max out i mean full AA and AF in most of the games released so far. Here's the link to the card i am talking about.

"XFX sells an overclocked XXX model with a 580MHz core and 1.8GHz memory for $335".That's what i am getting. And since it's factory overclocked i dont need to take care of it's cooling and stuff.Right?

Gamespot had this to say in conclusion but i dont get the answer to my question from that. And they also didnt have benchmarks forany of the games in 1280x1024.

"The GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB performs in line with our expectations. It's a quick card, but it does have memory limitations. The card performs wonderfully at 1600x1200 with 4x antialiasing, but falls behind when memory size comes into play at the highest resolution and image quality settings. The stock GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB is a great option if you're willing to sacrifice AA and AF settings for higher frame rates. If you can't live without the higher-resolution and antialiasing settings, you might want to consider jumping up to the 640MB GTS or the 768MB GTX."

My other specs is a E4400 and 2 GB 667 Mhz Ram.

hey, this is so cool, i have the same specs as you, same CPU, RAM and GPU (exept that i have an ASUS instead of an XFX)

Well if you would like to play games in DirectX10 then go for the geforce 8700M if you want to spend a lot of money or the 8600M. Otherwise if you dont mind playing on Directx 9 then go for the geforce Go 7900.

8800GTS has a different architecture from DX9 cards, so you can do just fine without 512MB, that's why the extra ram you get on the 8800GTS 640MB is not worth an extra $100, look at the performance benchmarks, it doesn't even make a difference above 1920x1200.WhiteSnake5000

exactly, i have a geforce 8800 gts 320mb and played GRAW2 and bioshock which both required 512mb and i played everything on high settings without any major framerate drops below 40 FPS which is really good. And played world in conflict on high settings too. Go with the 320mb

go for the geforce 8500 or maybe if you would like to add a little more money go for the 8600. Im sure they are more powerful than the geforce 7 GPU. Sorry i dont know anything about ATi cards.

World in Conflict, in my opinion. Its a great game similar to C&C Tibirium Wars but with better lighting, visual effects and physics.

9  im pretty p*ssed, but i have to live with it. And i think that i had my hopes a bit too high and i should have known that a game with really high hype would likely be delayed :(. But still, it could be well optimized and play really good and anyway i can play WiC in the meantime (great game).

my thoughts are.. this game is amazing!! i played the demo many times and the explosions are amazing. My favorite feature was the land deformation in real time, amazing and the nuke bomb, cool sound and visual effects. A must have.
