CHATS

Yesterday's chats were really fun, I missed the Grey's Anatomy chat because I was with my friend getting her hair done after school so when I realized I could still chat, there was only 6 people left and they were talking about something else so I left.

I enjoyed The Office chat. From what I could see, no spammers and everyone was staying on topic, same with the Smallville chat. People had a lot to say about them and the chats are getting better everytime.

BANNER

I made a new banner, it sort of looks like my old one, but better. You can only do so much with Paint. I really want photoshop. CAN YOU NAME ALL THE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES? Sorry if some of the faces are partly blocked, the tab space is in the way. They should move it down or something.

106 submissions today.

I HAVE A LONG WEEKEND BECAUSE IT'S VICTORIA DAY ON MONDAY! HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND EVERYONE!

I don't have much to say today so here's some pictures of an actor I just love!

If anyone wanted to know what happened at my school's 100th Anniversary keep reading but I do warn you, it was a boring day.

My school's 100th Anniversary yesterday was a bit of a dud. It was made out to be better than it really was. It seemed fun and exciting, but by the time it happened, it was sort of boring. When I got to the school at 7:30 am, they told us to just stick around because there wasn't anything to do yet. So for an hour I sat there doing nothing while this girl played some creepy Gothic/Heavy Metal-esk/Non-English songs from youtube.

At 8:30am the Guidance Counselor asks if anyone wanted to watch the phones. I wanted out of there so I volunteered. They brought me to the Office and told me what to do and left me there alone. I thought I was going to be there for like 30 minutes tops, so that's why I said "no" when the secretary asked me if I wanted the radio on... (Big Mistake). An hour and a half went by and there was like 1 phone call. I had been left a walkie-talkie just in case there was something I couldn't answer when the people phoned and there were other people who had the radio too, so I could hear the other people who had walkie-talkies talking and that kept me entertained.

At 10:30am, I got a replacement to come in and after showing him what to do, I left. I went back to the Guidance office and moped. They'd gotten food while I was gone. So I ate some grapes and watermelon cubes and wandered the school trying to be helpful and directing alumni of the school. I find that no one listens to you when you're a kid. I was standing infront of the library and across from it there's a hallway that leads you to an exit. I saw people were walking down the hallway and wasting time, energy and were quite frustrated because they couldn't find the pool (They smelled chlorine so they headed in that direction, when unknowingly they smelled chlorine because the pool was right below them...). I decided to stand there and anytime I told someone, "Sorry Ma'am/Sir, but this hallway leads to an exit" like 1 in 10 listened and the other 9 just said, "Oh, well, I'll go down there to see what's there anyways." *Sigh...*

So, at 11:35am I realized I was late for my shift so I reported to Guidance and realized no one is actually doing their proper shifts and were just doing whatever to keep themselves busy. So I made myself a bagel with cream cheese (Yum). I realized that with so many people in the school it was getting quite humid so I went to buy a pair of school shorts. I love them! They're navy blue with the school name and then ATHLETICS under it and it has a glossy look to it. LOVE EM!

Then I went back to Guidance and one of the Guidance Counselors asked if anyone wanted to do Parking, so I said I would. They gave me those really nasty orange vests crossing guards always wear and I went outside. I got a really sick walkie-talkie and made a new friend (who was doing Parking with me).

At 2:30pm, I went to get lunch and wandered some more. I went to the registration table and worked there. I realized how many people don't ask questions if they're lost unless you have a big fat sign that says "ASK ME!" stuck on you. So I took one of those "Hello, My Name Is..." stickers and wrote "ASK ME!" in big bold letters and stuck it to me. There was an automatic 95% increase in people asking me. At around 4:30pm, I packed the registration table and left.

Boring day huh? Volunteering is so boring! No wonder I left doing to manditory 40 hours needed to graduate until the last moment... If you made it this far in this blog congrats.

I got 13.5 volunteer hours for doing this anniversary thing and I think a couple of more because I did parking.

THE END OF AN ERA:
Be sure to watch the Gilmore Girls series finale on Tuesday 8pm ET on The CW or 10 pm ET on Global. It's the last episode ever and it will be surely missed.

Happy 100th Anniversary!
My school turns 100 tomorrow and they're throwing a "party." It's going to be huge! Over a thousand people are expected to come and even the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) is set to make an appearance. They've planned a BBQ and have jazzed up the school.

They set up cla*ssrooms to represent certain decades, put up balloons and streamers everywhere and have put up old cla*ss photos from the '20s around the school. I decorated the '80s room today. I accidentally popped like a dozen balloons and I even found a teacher that still works that the school in one of the pictures! I was making a collage of pictures and I saw some really old school computers. It was really cool to see the changes in technology.

After 4 hours of gluing, stapling, cutting and delivering things to other cla*ssrooms, I decided to wander the school and see that other decades rooms look like. I went into the 1990's room and it looked really nice. I even found my cousin in the yearbook (as well as a teacher currently at my school). In all the rooms, they're playing movies and songs from the decades in each room. When I went to explore all the cla*ssrooms, it was hard to imagine that this school was around for that long. Although it looks brand new because they did a renovation of the entire school like 10 years ago.

Tomorrow I'll be up early to arrive at the school at 7:30 am to do Parking Lot duty, and then some Registration Duty later on in the day and then more Parking Lot Duty. I get double volunteer hours for working the parking lot but I have to wear those nasty reflective vests... It's going to be a long day...

This is the second school that I've been at that has turned 100, the first was my elementary school when I was in like grade 4. Except this time, they've actually went all out. Should be fun!

It's been a while now and the level increases are sort of messed up. I've made a lot more submissions than to only get a 1 % increase. I really want to be a Wardrobe Malfuntion!

Darn Editorship and CP Bug!

Channing Tatum's guide finally got pictures! Three infact. Check them out HERE. He's as good looking as ever.

EDIT: I just got a level update and I'm a Wardrobe Malfunction. Awesome! Now what about my editorships? 20:18:23

Oh! And Listen to this song. It's not bad. Quite catchy.

So... My Raptors lost to New Jersey 4-2 in a best of 7 series... I'm not sad though. I'm actually happy. Last year, the Raptors weren't even close to making the play-offs and this year they ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference (most sports magazines predicted that they would rank 9th or 10th), so I think that's something to be happy about.

The Raptors tied a franchise record of 47 wins (but had 35 losses), not bad considering they started with a 2-8 record, was under .500 for most of the season and then came back 3/4 of the season to place first in the Atlantic division. Not only that, but last year, their coach, Sam Mitchell, was voted Sports Illustrated's "Worst Coach in the NBA" and this year, he won coach of the year. Next year will be a good year for them! GO RAPS GO!

Sam Mitchell receiving his award for "Coach of the Year" and posing with some of the Raptors.

So I completed my 30 Hour Famine yesterday. I didn't eat for 30 hours straight and only drank water. I was actually surprised that my stomach didn't even growl once. I wasn't even hungry when the 30 hours were over. Strange... But I ate anyways. I'm actually very pleased with myself. I didn't think I would last 30 hours. I get 10 volunteer hours for doing the famine. I need 40 to graduate...

SONG OF THE DAY:
"She Is" by The Fray (Sorry, they haven't made the music video for the song yet, so this will have to do)

What are the only 2 words in the English language that are made plural by ending in "-en?"

I've been holding back on submitting submissions since I've been hit by both the CP bug and the Editor Bug and I was hoping to start again after I got my guides, but Formulakaz informed me it took her 2 months to get her guides, so... I think I'm going to start submitting again.

LET'S GO RAPTORS!

My Raptors (NBA- National Basketball Association) are playing their first Playoff game since 2002 (I think...). Anyways, they're playing our most hated team in the NBA, the New Jersey Nets, because of the Vince Carter thing. But I'm not going to get into it if you don't know... Anyways I'm super excited! Whoo! LET'S GO RAPTORS!

EDIT: The Raptors just lost the first game 96-91. I blame first time play-off gitters. The majority of the team has never played a play-off game in their life and I think the pressure got to them, especially Joey Graham. They weren't playing like a team today. No worries, we'll own then on Tuesday!

PASS THE BEEF:

Yesterday, I submitted just a couple of submissions to a guide which had an editor. It was a guide to an actor who stars in one of my new favorite show which I discovered  a few weeks ago. A lot of the trivia weren't compliant to TV.com guidelines so I took the time to fix them. They weren't really minor things such as a period or something, but like major things such as plagarizing from other sites and not following TV.com standard formats. I submitted 6 things. One new one, and 5 blurbs I edited.

I clearly wrote on the User Comments: "I EDITED THE TRIVIA BLURB TO COMPLY WITH TV.COM STANDARDS (i.e."Whatever I did to the blurb")" or if was for plagarizing I added that too.

I get the new one I submitted accepted and 3 of the ones I edited accepted. But I got 2 rejected because they were and I quote, "Already listed sorry" and "Also listed."

What I find funny is that of the 3 that I edited, I wrote the same thing in the User Comments and it was already in the guide, yet it got accepted. Meanwhile, the 2 that was accepted were also already in the guide and they got rejected.

This editor is like a level 7 with 108 accepted submissions and 1 rejected so I though they understood what they're doing but yet again, they got 3 submissions rejected yesterday and none accepted...

What should I do? Leave it, resubmit them again, send a PM to this editor (which I already did), talk to danmod that this person isn't doing their job properly because clearly they're not reading the comments, or what?

I need help here! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hey, I logged on today and I realized I'd gone up a level. I'm now, as of this moment, officially a WHAMMY! It's my most favorite level!:D

I'm watching Jimmy Kimmel Live! at this moment and ex-American Idol hopeful, Bucky Covington, is singing a song from his debut CD and I can't understand a word he's singing. All I hear is mumbling and it sounds bad too.

I have to make this blog short and simple. I have school tomorrow. Why is this always happening to me? I have enough points to become editor of an editorless guide and it shows up that I have enough on the Top 10 CPs list but it won't give me the guide. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's been like this for me for about a month.

So, I don't know what's going on with these bugs on TV.com. There's a bug for retired editors becoming re-editored (Yeah, I turned it into a verb...). And I'm not getting my editorships. I've got 40+ points for editorless guides but they're not giving me the guide. It's only a matter of time I suppose. I could complain, yes, but I'm not up for complaining today. So I wrote it on a blog.

My teacher pulled a pop quiz on us in Chemistry today. It was 10 questions, multiple choice, and we had like 10 minutes to do it. I'm not sure how much time we had because I was so out of it. I just didn't want to get a 0. I was stressed. Pop quizzes are not my thing. I need to be prepared. My teacher said that the alpahbetizing on his computer messed up so that's why all the alphabets were not in chronological order.
For example:
1. What ever the first question was...
a) Whatever the answer may be...
b) Whatever the answer may be...
c) Whatever the answer may be...
d) Whatever the answer may be...

2. What ever the secondquestion was...
n) Whatever the answer may be...
o) Whatever the answer may be...
p) Whatever the answer may be...
q) Whatever the answer may be...

Anyways so I was stressing out. I didn't care about the incorrect alphabetizing, I just didn't want a zero. I could feel my blood pressure going up. (If that's even possible)...

Later on, my teacher tells us the multiple answer questions and guess what it spelled out?
A-P-R-I-L-F-O-O-L-S

He stressed me out so bad! Oh... He's a tricky one.

Then, he did the exact same thing to the people he was teaching after us. When I asked my friend if it went well afterschool, he said he almost "c*apped in his pants."

You know what another sneaky thing my teacher did? He sneakily plotted by telling a couple of his students that there was going to be a pop quiz so he'd hope they were going to spread it around so everybody would walk into his room scared and worried.

Oh, high school, that's why I hate you so much. But the teacher that did this is a good teacher. So I'll forgive him this time...

Today is the season finale of Prison Break. You know what that means? No Prison Break until the fall! That's SUCH A LONG TIME!

WATCH IT TONIGHT! I CAN TELL IT'S GOING TO BE A GOOD ONE!

HELP PLEASE!
Does anybody know how to make the horizonal ruler thing? I've been making them myself and I'm not quite sure how to get it on this new program thing... You can post a comment on here, but it's messed up right now, or you can send me a PM.

I check all comments that people leave me so I'll see it don't worry. Your efforts will not be lost. Also I'll update this if someone helps me so you won't waste your time.

Thanks for the help in advance.

UPDATE: THANKS LISAGANSKY FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM! THANKS A MILLION!

I don't really have much to say today. I didn't do anything interesting except submit stuff on TV.com. I have a trip to the zoo on Wednesday. I haven't been to the zoo since I was a kid.

This will be my first school trip all year. We don't get a lot of school trips at my school... We have one of the richest public schools in the city and yet they can't give us a fair amount of field trips. I went to one of the poorest elementary schools in the city and they had more field trips! May be because it's high school... I don't know... But I do remember in grade 9 we had ONE trip. They told us to pay $2 so I did. I was really excited because this was the first trip all year and it was near the end of the year so I knew this was my last chance.

THEN I found out it was an IN-SCHOOL trip. FUN.... Well I guess that makes sense it was only $2... Anyways, they took us from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor, about a 1 minute walk, to the Strings room and saw this guy with a guitar with dumb pictures glued all over it.

Great. We sat in the chairs and he sang geography songs to us... One entire hour of geography songs. I'd seen this guy a week before on my favorite morning show and I thought he was terrible there, and now to see him LIVE?!?!?! Brutal...

When he ended, I counted 5 asleep kids.

Though next year, I went to a Mennonite community in St. Jacobs. It was so fun. It made me want to become a Mennonite. I went into a general store and everything was in bulk! I swear... Even the cookies were in bulk. It was awesome. Though now I don't want to be a Mennonite, I don't think I can live without modern technology. If I was a Mennonite, I couldn't talk to you guys and come to TV.com :P

Hmm... I guess I did have a lot to say...

I made 134 submissions today! That's 3 times as much I've ever submitted in one day. It's actually really hard work and quite repetitive...

A bug is still effecting TV.com. I don't know what's taking so long to get it fixed. Oh well...

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

Status:

I was watching 'Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?' yesterday and I feel so smart when I watch that show. Mind you that I'm still in High School so that stuff is more fresh in my mind than the contestants.

I cannot believe that that woman couldn't figure out that last '1st grade world geography' question!

She had already won $300 000 and was going to answer the question for $500 000. The question was 'What is the only continent in the world that is also a country?'

That lady wanted to answer ALL OF THEM... She's so dumb... The question said, 'ONLY CONTINENT.' And if you don't know, the answer is 'Australia.'

Though some of the questions are quite hard since I don't live in the United States so I haven't learned about any of the American History questions.

Yesterday's episode, there was a '5th Grade Algebra' and the question went something like this...
If y=3x and 3x=12, then what does y equal?

I didn't even learn that until grade 7!

Anyways, I love that show. If you haven't watched it before, you should check it out. It teaches you facts that are pretty interesting.
