That's right, it's time for all of us to admit it and "Suck it up and Deal."  The Xbox360 is not capable of producing superb graphics in every freaking game they put on the market (especially halo3).  Yes, I intend to be a 360 owner very soon, but even i'll admit it, the kind of graphic quality we saw in gears of war is probably as good as it gets.  The fact is in MMO's graphic quality suffers because there isn't enough processing power.  So in a game that can host 30+ people online, it's impossible to produce gears of war quality graphics.  The 360 only has three processors and that's all.  So please stop complaining, especially about one of the most anticipated games this year.  We're still gonna get a great game, but we can't expect incredible graphic quality due to the fact that the 360 does not have nine processors (the PS3 does).  It's Just the Facts people, so we have to deal with it.

My thoughts on immersion in guitar hero, and the Wii:

It's a Fad, plain and simple.  Guitar hero is a very popular game, and a lot of this popularity comes from the fact that one gets to use a guitar controller when playing the game.  Lets be honest, if you had to use a regular controller for the game it would not have the popularity it has now.  It's the same thing with the Nintendo Wii, people enjoy immersing themselves in the games using the controller.  Yet, who are the people who make these 2 things popular?

It's not just your average gamers who are making guitar hero and the Wii popular.  Yes there are many gamers who enjoy the nintendo Wii and guitar hero but still, they are not the causes of the overwhelming popularity.  It's people outside of the gaming community who are really giving these two things their extreme popularity.  Moms and Dads buy the Wii for their kids, while every college students runs out to get guitar hero because they have played it in one dorm room over.  Yet, what happens when this popularity ends?  These people are not gamers and they are not loyal to their systems or their games.  Some might become loyal followers of Nintendo or guitar hero, but most will just let the game and the system fade into memory.  This may be Nintendo's down fall.

(*Side Note* Once again I am not trying to 'hate on' the Nintendo Wii, this is only a theory.  I particularly wasn't the biggest fan of guitar hero.  I felt they could have done much better with the game and it's why I'm really looking forward to Rock Band)

Nintendo is doing a great job pumping out games for everyone to play and enjoy immersing themselves in with their controllers.  However, how long will it be until people are tired of the last generation graphics?  Howlong until people want to play with others online?  Theres a different kind of immersion that nintendo is lacking in severely.  It's online immersion, the online immersion that the PS3 and the Xbox360 are going in the right direction with.  Gamers don't just want to flail a controller around.  Theres a certain thrill that comes with shooting another player online and then rubbing it in their face by meleeing their dead body.  Theres a thrill that AI can't give that online gaming can give.  The 360 is going in the right direction with Xbob Live and Playstation 3 is really proceeding in the right direction with Home.  Home is looking to become the most immersive online network yet.  When the gaming is done there will be no reason to put down a PS3 controller because one can easily enter home and interact with more users.  So where does this leave nintendo? 

The Wii games are incredibly fun but once the game is done, if it doesnt have online gaming or replay value, then you put the controller down andturn off the system until you get the next game.  Yes ones friends can come over and enjoy the gaming too, but that doesnt last for long either.  Will the Wii just turn out to be another Gamecube?  I believe it might if Nintendo doesnt start doing something more than crank out games. 

My first post is going to be simple, its purpose is this:

 The PS3 IS the superior console.

I do not hate on the Xbox360 or the Wii, I want people to understand that the PS3 is NOT a crappy system and people are talking crap about it for little reason.  If you want the facts on why the PS3 is a great piece of machinary or if you want to argue about this I'm the person to come to.  However, if you want to argue the point with me I warn you, I have done DAYS of extensive research on all 3 system.  I know the FACTS and can counter biased of the any system easily.  If you want to have a discussion or arguement about systems or why a system 'sucks'.  Know your facts.  I'm looking to shed some light on this 'console war' and i'll be looking forward to your comments or arguements from here on out.
