I don't think I could learn engineering easily without college, although realistically it could be learned without it. It's not like history though.

Well......Put it this way, I think you can easily learn it without college/university. However, whether you have the motivation to do so would be another story.
Even though school taught me nothing - The strict deadlines and exams sure made me teach myself!
You're still in the undergrad level and you're criticizing college for being too easy? How bout you wait until you're writing your Master's dissertation? Or perhaps you just go to a very **** college. Theokhoth
I agree that University is bull****.
I am finishing my Engineering Masters in a Top 10 (in the world) Engineering University and I agree that all of the material can be learned in an University library.
HOWEVER, it is undeniably necessary and it is the reason I have a great job lined up.
Hi everyone, just a quick blurb that I am posting everywhere.
As you all know, an earthquake has virtually leveled Port-au-Prince the haiti capital; in response people are opening their wallets and showing their support.
However, in order to make sure your money counts. You should talk with friends and family members. Many companies are currently running programs where the employer will match each dollar you donate. This means that if you donate 20 dollars, they will donate 20 dollars as well. Therefore, instead of donating straight to the established channels such as Red Cross, you should really be looking at doubling your donations by having a friend/family member who works at such a company donate in your stead.
