if ps 3 is a paperweight then a console in which its game library is composed of time-exclusive games and doesn't even play blu ray disc and ofcourse can get broken easily is more of a paperwieght to me.

No, the PS3 as a console doesn't suck. It has great features, is now well priced and with the new rumble controller it is a sleek and sexy machine. The problem is that its exclusives just don't hold up. They either lack replayability, are generally short, single player, plain average or any combo of those.

I know you are all going to flock in and say 'but but I still play them and enjoy them so you suck!' but the truth is there are simply better exclusives available on all other platforms.

Yes I understand that in the future sometime there will be good exclusives but that doesn't help the gamer now. I also understand that if you only own the PS3 there are plenty of multiplats to play but systems are not judged by multiplats (especially when your competition has the better versions for the most part).

My advice to people, steer clear until they release something worthwhile and Cows, just admit that it has been lucklustre so far and those that bought into it early really were done over (me included).

I've looked over topics consistently and have seen Chrono Trigger being listed as a top JRPG. Maybe it's the nostalgia or we played a different game but to me, when I played Chrono Trigger about 6 months ago-and finished it- it wasn't too great of a game. Many of you mention a story. What story? Timelines were interconnected loosely which was supplemented by cheesy/childish dialogue. The characters had nothing memorable about them and were generally cardboard cutouts to me. The combat system was nothing to write home about either.

Tell me what you find in this game which makes it stand above the other countless JRPGs.

what is good and what is not is relative to what you compare it at, so if you're comparing chrono trigger to current jrpg then chrono trigger would really look like a mediocre jrpg. try putting yourself 13 years back when it was first release and probably you will a different opinion.
