I'm on the fence with this one right now. DA2 was fine. Though I wasn't a huge fan of the combat system, I enjoyed the story and I was impressed by the world it took place in.
This newest title looks great and the review is awesome. But before I empty my pockets and pay the piper, what do those of you think that are currently playing?
Ok so I can see his point. I didn't really pay those issues much attention until he spelled them out though. Loading times are rather long and the auto save is a little bizarre. That being said however, I never found any bosses to be frustrating, some a lot more challenging than others for sure and even though they required several attempts before I fully understood how to progress I preferred the fact that there was more to an opponent than a huge health bar, it was different and I enjoyed the break from the norm. Story... eh.... Ok I can't dispute this one, it makes some sense but I really was hoping for more and again the main character has less charisma than my toaster. Yet for the problems we can all nit-pick at all day, the game itself is solid! Absolutely horrific in places (not a criticism) and I'm loving every minute of it, new game plus will provide a large amount of replay value not to mention hunting each area for all the collectibles. A great title and worthy for anyone to give it a go and a must have for fellow survival horror fans.
Tend to agree. I normally see eye to eye with mr Van-Ord. Was very surprised to take the gamble on this game and absolutely love it. As others have stated though, being a fan of the series definitely helps to enjoy this more and Isolation really strikes me as a title that is very player specific as you do have to play it one way. Simply charging around just isn't an option. I've not reached the end yet but I will more than likely hold onto this for a few replays. Great stuff!
Ha, same. I took the gamble and picked this up and I'm about 6 hours in so far and I'm loving it! A very pleasant surprise though I will say that this fames across as very specific to the players tastes. I have no doubt that it's not for everyone but it's for sure worth checking out if your curious.
Ok well I though It looked great! Really enjoy these sneaky kinda games, outlast, slender etc. Was hoping this would be awesome. I think I'll check it out but after the price comes down
Hmm.... very keen to check this out but a little concerned just how 'similar' it really is to AC, I really enjoyed the first 2 of that franchise but after that it went downhill in my opinion and I have no Interest in more of the same.
Good review though, seemed to cover a lot and answered a great deal of questions. Kinda 60% for this right now. The nemesis system looks like good fun, though what's this about bad frame rate? Think I'll keep an eye on the opinions of you guys.
