chicknfeet Blog

I guess it's safe to say...

I finally eased my way into the next generation and bought a Wii. Mind you i haven't played it much yet due to the fact that i haven't told my RL friends that i have it but probably over the weekend, its limitations will be tested. I've actually gotten my little menu to a decent level. I bought SSBB mainly for my friends, Mario Kart mainly for online racing, Wii Sports and Wii Play for **** and giggles. I also purchased Samurai Showdown 1 and 2, Harvest Moon and Eternal Champions from the virtual console. I am considering purchasing Mario RPG but am thinking it would be pointless since i already have it back at my parent's place for my SNES. I also got the Everybody Votes channel...so for the past month i've been following JPL's blog and just quietly nodding my head at the results of the polls. Some are just plain silly, some are actually interesting. And yes, i have had my Wii for the past month and didn't tell anybody except for Andi...my only friend online :P. Folks are welcome to add me to their Wii list or address book or whatever just send me a warning PM so i know to look for your invite.

I also purchased a 80GB Zune 2 weeks ago and i am loving it. So far i have put about 1/3 of my cd's on it and all of my other music on it and it says i am up to over 1000 songs. No joke...it is so convenient to have all my cd's and such on one device. I've learned how to upload pictures on it as well so i can have different backgrounds on it and make it look all spiffy. :P actually i just found a Dan Hibiki pic i want to put on it. I have to figure out how to get some of my movies on it next since that is one of the options...i can actually get all of my GS vlogs on it but i would need a program to get my DVD's converted and moved over to it. Oh and it has a built in radio so i can listen to any of my morning shows when i get to work. I must say it is a sweet little piece of equipment.

That's really all i have for this go around...my Wii number is over to the side for those that want to add me (or Mii). Stay cool people ;)

It's X to the Xtreme

Ok that's a lame title but i am excited about going to see the X-Files movie tomorrow. I have really missed seeing Mulder and Scully solve these mysteries of extreme weirdness. Gillian Anderson is so wonderful in all shapes and forms...so classy...and David Duchovny is just a fun guy to watch. He has a helluva style about him that just makes me chuckle. I'm not sure if he means to do it but he is just funny. Hopefully the movie turns out to be as great as I expect and so much more. That was really all for now. I have to help my friend move a bed today and i'm not much in the mood for manual labor. Anyway, take care and stay cool people ;)

Hulk Smash!

So I went to the midnight show last night to see Hulk literally smash things left and right. Can I say that after seeing the first try, I am totally relieved at this rendition. They did a better job with the action and look, they had a good story, Stan Lee is funny as hell, and all of the retro references and additions to the movie gave me a real warm and fuzzy feeling. I'm not going to ruin the experience for everybody but this is definitely something that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. I will say this though (this is mainly for those that have already seen Iron Man)...if you remember how Iron Man really ended then you know they are really setting up for something really big down the line which I am more than anticipating at this point.

That's it for this blog folks...next time I will tell you guys how my life is going. Until then, stay cool ;)

-Il Fin

For those of you that dont know, fin = end in french...not like a fish. Anyway, it's been a while since i've done a blog. I didn't think there was anything for me to really talk about, but it just hit me...i am a second time graduate. Just graduated this past saturday as a Web site designer/developer. I guess that's some good news! I am proud to say that i graduated with a 3.8 out of 4.0. On top of that, it raised my overall GPA from college to a 3.02 which is definitely better than what i finished my undergrad with. So now i have my B.S. and a Certificate...the next step is my M.S. which is a little more feasable now that my grades are a little bit higher.

It's that time yet again

I'm going on a road trip to sunny Miami for food, fun and relaxation...at least i hope so. I have yet to tell my parents i'm coming home for an extended weekend so i doubt they will be to excited about me missing work and classes. Whatever though. I want to take a small vacation. Plus the fair is back in Miami and since i missed it last year, i want to make up for it this year. So i will be missing in action for a few days at the end of this week, but no worries. I will be back bright and early next Monday to resume my duties here on GS.

5 things you never knew about me

So it seems i've been tagged by the DJ via Andi...i guess i have to share 5 random things about me. Let's see...
  1. 1) I studied Computer Science and minored in Math at Florida A&M University, did some Information Security grad courses at FSU and am finishing up my Web Design certification at the local community college
  2. 2) I'm only 5'8" which in no way is short especially when I'm standing next to my female friends
  3. 3) I would rather watch cartoons than a lot of the other dribble that comes on television
  4. 4) My parents are rich...I am not -_-
  5. 5) I enjoy being sarcastic a lot (I think i picked up my sarcasm from watching Golden Girls) and I try not to be serious or stressed when I'm away from school or work
I guess I'm supposed to tag other people that read my blog so lets see...I'll just do MrKillerMan since i know he's lurking around, phantomtech, fishdalf, mac, and ArmoredCore

Happy St. Patrick's Day

pint of beerHappy St. Patty's Day to all my Irish friends and anybody else that celebrates the day! Have a beer on me and have a great night of drunken hijinks ;)

Another one flipped

Well i am happy to say that i have finished another game yesterday...Metal Slug 3 (fyi - i love the old Neo-Geo games). That game was difficult and frustrating, even on easy mode. The 1 hit kills can be rather bothersome if you don't know the scripting of the level and the continue method on there is god awful. Honestly, how much sense does it make to continue when you die on a boss fight but are forced to continue back at the begining of the stage? Annoying to say the least. But i have gotten to the point where i've picked up on most of the little tricks of the game so now i can make it to the final boss without losing all of my lives. I'm definitely proud of that.

Next thing to do: get my copy of FFXII back from my cousin so i can finally beat it and my copy of Bully so i can have something simple to do between FF and Xenosaga gameplay.
