I played 167 hours of Dragon Age on one playthrough, i pretty much did everything when it comes to sidequests and DLC though.
I played the hell out of DA:O as well...though i don't think it was 167 hours worth. There were a few DLC's that i skipped, but for the most part, it was all pretty enjoyable.
@cooolio:
Don't get me wrong. I loved Joel as a character. But what he did at the end of the game was a real dick move. He knew full well what was on the line when Ellie's back story was revealed to him, but he still decided to be a prick after all was said and done. And Ellie was not living up to her potential. She watched me get attacked by clickers so many times during the game and was nowhere to be found when i needed saving from them.

Yeah, these two teams don't necessarily interest me. It's more about the social aspect of the event. I have a friend coming in from out of town just to watch the game with me which is really cool. Gotta get my snacks and beer in order before the stores run out of cheese poofs and booze.
Unfortunately. It might be like this for a while depending on how things shape up with the community
I'm sure the game will be fine no matter who reviews it. Good chance it's not gonna matter one way or another. People are going to get it if they want or avoid it if they don't want it. Thought, it would be funny to have Caro give it a low score for being misogynistic and insensitive, then have Tom do a second opinion and say it is shallow and doesn't explore the tough issues.
I was feeling the same way. The game looked damn interesting, but i absolutely refuse to get this game on a handheld system. My eye sight is already pretty bad and i don't need to put any extra strain on them trying to focus on a small screen. I have a hard enough time focusig on my flatscreen television.
As good a game as this was, it definitely had some serious flaws. Could have done without the illusion of choice and just be honest with the player. Many times i thought i'd be able to just sneak around confrontations only to find out that i had to kill too many or all of the people in the area just to progress the story. And Ellie really did seem useless throughout the majority of the story. By the end of the game, i hated Joel and wanted to shoot him in the face, but i'll give the developers credit for creating a controversial story.
