No. It doesn't even play PS1 games let alone PS2 games. The former may be possible at a later date through a software update. The latter is highly unlikely.GamejunkieUKYes it does, all ps1 games are playable through remote play, ps2 games confirmed to be available for download via a firmware update in the future.
Well things may just kick off sales wise soon, thanks to certain items being made available to pre-order

[QUOTE="GamejunkieUK"]I think some people here are mistaken here being under the impression there has been a price cut in Japan when there hasn't not officially anyway. Certain retailers in Japan have currently dropped the price probably due to the slow sales and wanting to sell through inventory. Sony hasn't announced any price cuts in Japan or anywhere else. Yes there was.
And I didn't said that SONY SAID. :)

There's nothing there about Sony dropping the price. That is strictly retailers' decisions to get more units out the door at a loss for them not sony. Its hardly a loss if the vita is only rumoured to cost £103 to make (if the rumours are true of course) - sony will mark that up, so theres still plenty of room for decrease in price for retailers without making a loss on the product.
