The fact is there are more grandmas and little sisters out there than there are non-sheep hardcore gamers that would ever consider buying a nintendo console after the horrible failure that was the gamecube.
That is why Nintendo sold out on us non-sheep gamers.

Wasn't the "It's casual" arguement what screwed sheep over last gen. That was their excuse for PS2 sales last gen.

if you look at game sales on ps2, yes, games like GTA sold extremely well. But you also saw games like GT3 and DMC and FFXII and God of War up there too.
The difference between sony and nintendo is this: Nintendo uses the success of thier system to further screw over real, non-sheep, gamers, while sony uses it's success to further support hardcore gamers of all kinds.

Things should be gauged relative to the current environment upon their release. The original Virtua Fighter was astounding at the time but isn't as great today and the same is true of OoT. Theres no reason for games with such age and differences in commentary to both receive the same score after all this time (although I personally think Crash was a solid AA game at launch). theres is some truth in what you say, but at the end its your apinion. for example i never played crash if i were to review it ill probably give a 5 or a 6 dont know(couse i didnt appreciate the game when it was out). but if i had to review ocarina i would probably still give it a 10 just because when i played the game it amazed me sooo much, heck!! i would probably enjoy more playing oot and mm than tp just because nostalgic. and as you said crash was to you a solid AA...its your opinion what it counts

i agree. i didnt really like ww either
never played it again after finished...it was good(i loved the art stile) but never really got to the side quests and couldnt stand go traveling with the boat again. still good game.
