But it can equal greater atmosphere, which certainly helps the story, and emotion.

Your black and white film comparison is quite an insult tbh, many films from that era have more substance, depth and character thanmost filmswe have today. You think being in colour instantly makes a film better?

In the same respect 3D in gaming is not going to make the games magically better. If anything it will make games worse. Much like CGI has for films.

it's okay for any other animal to fight for survival.
Don't see why it isn't for humans.
To some extent, war is a good thing as it accelerates the elimination of the weak, and it can be effective population control.
So basically, killing people in war is alright, since it's just a part of life.

At the moment, the only good 3d tech is what's being implemented in the 3DS, but that's currently not being used in any large televisions these days.

Saying that 3d will make 2d a thing of the past is like saying that surround sound is superior to stereo.
"3D" is glorified parallax mapping and is still in a way, 2d.
Holograms will make 2d a thing of the past.
