@mordant221: Just on the theme of how few planets will have advanced life and the "chances" of us finding them, what about the upgrades to our ship that may allow us a better chance to find these planets. It would make sense for the more scientific ships to have this capability over the combat ships for example.

And on the game itself, I am seriously looking forward to it if for nothing else then to play in a game world that is to all intensive purposes, without limits.

I think more then anything else this game showed the promise of what can be done world wise but for me I look to the future and the day all these activities mentioned in the opening paragraph are back in, and more. I know development takes time but my overriding feeling with this game is...it ultimately feels hollow.

Plus only two television stations? So little to watch in the movies, and this is Vinewood after all. It is a spectacular world that they created but after the post credits it doesn't really draw you in enough, and I am the same now, looking for another game with a strong story that I can play for longer.

Personally, I would have loved a much longer narrative and more options to keep you invested after the main storyline is over.

Yes, the music or lack of heavy metal, 80's and so on was very apparent to me on first playing and most times I don't even have it on now. Post credits play I am quite disappointed that their central theme, money, doesn't play a more prominent role in post game play. And of course, not being able to buy safehouses in single player is criminal (pun intended). And online fails to capture my interest in any way.

Actually I agree with Zoomer as his essential theme is don't get your hopes up, and the older one gets the more one heeds this lesson.

For me, the release date is when I actually have the game, anything beyond that is speculation.
