@marportex: That's where I'm confused/concerned. I can say with about 99.999999% certainty they WILL crossover. I mean, they're set in the same universe and Riverdale has already gone to Greendale. The CW wants another intermingling franchise, like their DC heroes.
That said, I'm with you. I don't know how it could happen because opening up to the ideas of a supernatural horror world on Riverdale will change so many things.
@marportex: I'm so excited for Sabrina and the possibility of expanding the Riverdale universe. That said, with what CW is doing with DC stuff, I'm so glad Black Lightning is going to be separate from Arrow/Flash/Etc. To give that series room to breathe without having to fit into whatever is happening on the other shows.
What I will say for Riverdale is visually it has a very unique look. The color palette on that show is something I'm a big fan of. It also does this thing that both Gotham and Bates Motel were good at. It's impossible to know what year they are set in. They mix modern elements with those of old to create this sort of timeless space.
@marportex: I get why some might feel like that. I implore everyone to at least give it a shot, though. There's so much more below the surface. Everyone involved--cast, crew, writers, everyone--are huge Archie fans. In fact, the showrunner Roberto writes some of the best modern Archie comics, which is exciting. If this show makes even one person pick up an Archie book, I'm over the moon about it. And it just looks SO damn great.
@yukushi: Again, go ahead and try reading the new comics. It's not about perverted teenagers. If you think all this show is is perverted teenagers, it's clear you don't watch.
As for you "not being shocked" I would watch...anything, really. You don't know me or the things I watch, so I'm not sure why you would think you do.
And as parting words, I'll leave you with this: What Archie Comics is going in their rebooted universe is really interesting to read and looks incredible. The Archie Comics that kids loved to read in the 60s, 70s and 80s aren't all that relevant anymore. While they hold a special place in my heart, that doesn't make me automatically hate everything that comes after. There's room for so many interpretations of these comics and the fact that there's a show more closely aligned with the newer books it a fun thing to see.
And if that's not your cup of tea, that's fine. But you should try giving the old To Riverdale and Back Again, which aligns well with the old books, a watch. It's...Not great.
@el_swanno: From what I recall, the Unite The Seven thing wasn't a JL poster in as much as a "Look, it's Aquaman" poster, right? I always took it as unite the sen seas, Aquaman is heir the throne. Yadda yadda yadda.
@Archangel3371: Absolutely agree. It's great that James can still go after all this time. And having her with the title would be a nice change of pace and shake up the Raw Women's division, which has gotten a bit stale.
@btbam4life: Well, given the Green Lantern is not in any of the Justice Leage trailers. Or Posters. Or promotional stills. Or logline. Or anything else released about the film, yes it would be considered a spoiler.
