Seems it's been pretty much forever since I last came to the site... Ever since discovering Neoseeker I've been pretty much going there for anything game-related. Mostly just posting this journal entry to see if anyone even gives a damn lol

Life has... pretty much fallen apart for me. My grandfather (more of a father to me) passed away, and right around the same time, I was dumped (without even the decency of a real break up, just her suddenly acting as if I don't exist and refusing to speak to me, supposedly because she "doesn't know how to bring it up" according to a mutual friend). I can't find work, and my grandmother is running out of savings, so it won't be long before she's the one relying on me. I owe her that much after everything she and my grandpa did for me, but it's something I'm just not equipped for at the moment. I'm still having to live under her care as if I were still a child, and my 22nd birthday is in 4 days!

I am a happy camper! I went to Chicago this weekend on a field trip with my choir (since I'm from Michigan, this was a big deal sicne I actually went outta state without any of my family members to bug me). On Saturday, my group went into borders. Now, my grandmother is a homophobe, so she never lets me get yaoi or shonen-ai when I'm with her. Well, when I was at Borders in Chicago, I grabbed half a dozen yaoi manga, five shonen-ai, and four regular manga. Now, since yaoi is TECHNICALLY porn, you hafta be at least 18 to buy it (says so right on the back cover). In fact, yaoi in stores is wrapped in plastic so a little kid won't accidentally look at it when going through other manga. Well, the n00bs at the counter didn't ID me (I'll be 18 at the end of this month anyway so...) and now I have my own yaoi! I was getting sick of always having to borrow it from my friends...

Oh, for those of you unfamiliar with such terminology... shonen-ai and yaoi are anime and manga about gay men. Shonen-ai (boys love) only goes as far as kissing and cuddling and stuff like that, but yaoi goes into the hardcore sex. :P

Looking through my account, I realized it's been over six months since I last made an entry here. I guess since not a whole lotta intersting stuff has been happening in my life, so... Hmmm... Must be something I can write...Oh, I know... THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT VIDEO GAME STORES SUCK!!!! I went to Jellybeans with my friend the last time I slept over at her place. I really like Clock Tower 3, so I wanted to get one of the first two-woulda got both but I didn't have enough money on me. I took the original Clock Tower outta the display. Y'know how M-rated games say 17+ on 'em, right? Well, on this particular day, I was exactly 17 years 8 months 1 week and 2 days old (yes, I was so pissed I went and calculated my exact age...). The girl at the register rang it up for me, and I commented that I was surprised she didn't ask to check my ID since the game was M-rated. So she did ID me (shouldn't they do this on their own instead of waiting for an honest teenager to point it out?)and said since I was under 18, I needed a parent's permission. WTF?! The fricken' thing says 17+ not AO! Anyone who cares to look at my collection list will notice that nearly half of my games are M-rated for goodness sakes!

I'm so friggin' ticked... I stayed at my girlfriend's last weekend, and when I got home my PS2 memory cards weren't in my bag! She says they're not at her place, but something crossed my mind recently... We went with her mom to her boyfriend's place and her brother stayed home alone. When we got back, at nearly midnight, we found out he'd been going through the stuff in her room, cause he had a bunch of her video games lying on her bed that hadn't been there when we left. I think the little bastard took my cards outta my bag while we were gone!!!!
