I think the guy who said highway robbery, meant we are getting an amazing deal. Not that we are getting ripped off, but we are ripping off Sony

Haha, I have never seen that before, I recommend everyone, right now, go watch itI still need to pick up Ratchet and Clank and have been meaning to get Tekken 6, I was thinking of Demon Souls, is it still good without online?
I'm assuming it'll be put on the PS3 because they are putting Mass Effect 2 on PS3, but they haven't said anything about consoles Mass Effect 3 will be on (they might have said that it'll be on xbox 360 and PC, but I'm not sure)
[QUOTE="BPoole96"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]It's significantly weaker than the 360's online. I typically try to avoid it.KHAndAnime
Care to elaborate?
Gladly. The matchmaking in games I've played, like Uncharted 2, is pretty slow. I'd say it takes 5 minutes to get into a multiplayer game from the second you turn on your PS3. You can't directly voice chat with any of your friends either. So if you want to talk to your friend while he's finishing something else or he isn't in the exact same lobby as you, there's no quick and easy way to communicate. The standardized use of the Bluetooth headset means that most people with mics will have low-quality sounding sets and most cheap Bluetooth sets commonly used for the PS3 have poor noise canceling, meaning you'll be hearing what they're eating and what their mom is talking to them about. Download speeds for demos, PSN games, and movies are a lot slower than XBL as well. This is an interesting point to touch on (the first one.) Uncharted 2 is VERY slow the first time you go online, or if you haven't gone online for awhile and try to go back on it's slow. To my knowledge, how it works is that all the stuff from the server (new things) need to be updated every time you go in multiplayer, the first time I tried to get into the multiplayer (not even in a game) it took around 20 minutes, since then I've never needed to wait that long, if I play it frequently enough I can get in a multiplayer matchfrom the moment my PS3 is turned on in probably 2 minutes. But if I don't play in awhile then it's slow (not as slow) the first time again. This is the only game in my knowledge that dows this, but still something to take note of if you were thinking of getting Uncharted 2.All of his other points are spot on however (the first one I thought just needed some clarification) I do notice a lot of people with bad sounding mics, you'll run into the odd few with mics that work, but again there are a lot of bad ones. Some people argue that the community is better on PS3 compared to 360, I haven't played on Live for awhile (I only have played Live at a friend's house) but from what I remember, the community based on immaturity is the same, you'll notice it the most on Call of Duty, I think I've ran into one or two instances in the many hours I've put into Uncharted 2 multiplayer but again it's just something to take note of
This comment made me laughIt would have been a lot more fun to throw the controller after getting angry that's for sure. Until it came back and knocked out a tooth.

Back on subject. I'm also glad they dropped the idea. If they had the dualshock 3 and the boomerang controller (didn't they say they based it off the batarang?) it would be nice for a choice, but I think I would stick with the dualshock, or get both and give the boomerang one to my friend to make it easier for me to slay him in Marvel vs. Capcom 2
I kind of am. Except I'm more annoyed with people thinking that Call of Duty is cool but any other video game is not. I mention something like Bioshock to them and I get called a nerd a lot, I don't really care but I think it bites for the developer. I think anyone who has played Bioshock and Call of Duty knows that Bioshock looks cooler and gameplay is cooler (I'm not arguing better, but shooting fire and electricity out of your hands is pretty cool, and the splicers look cooler than soldiers, the Rapture looks cooler than Call of Duty) If your looking for realism then Call of Duty is better (I know it's not very realistic, but it's still more realistic than Bioshock) but they think that Bioshock is a piece of trash only because it's not Call of Duty.
They can call me what ever they want, but it's disappointing that a game as good (arguably better, arguably worse, so I'll leave it at "as good" so we don't get into arguments on which is better) didn't sell even half as good as Call of Duty just because it's not Call of Duty
Be prepared for a lot of updates. Well, a lot depending on how many games you will be playing. The PSN (lag wise) is, from my experience, just as good. You will be dropping some features if you switch, the one thing I don't like about the PSN is that there aren't a lot of exclusive PSN games. Not that downloadables need to be exclusive, but when you look at XBLA they have Limbo, splosion man, shadow complex, and more.
But if your only concern is lag, then you'll be fine
