I'm not into AO games or anything, not like I have much choice in that matter. And therein lies the problem. Legally I can't see how nintendo, sony, or microsoft could ban any form of media from their products. I'm not an expert at law or anything, but like someone stated earlier, "AO" materials exist on DVDs to be played in a DVD player. Now dvd makers, no matter how much they want to, cannot ban a company from releasing "AO" type of dvds. For that matter some dvd contents aren't even rated. Why can't video games, a form of entertainment, enjoy that same right? No one should dictate what you can or cannot enjoy. If you don't enjoy something don't buy it. It's as simple as that. And an AO rating makes it so that kids can't buy it. Isn't that a good thing? I always hear how retailers are required to check IDs if someone buys an M rated game. With an AO rating this is naturally enforced because only adults with creditcards, and internet, can buy it. Whats the problem with that? Now what I would like to know is who do I need to mail in order to allow AO games on consoles? Or at least learn more on how they plan to enforce a no AO game on their system?
I know this is a stupid question but how do I unplug the white power connector cable on my video card? I tried pulling it but it feels like I"m going to rip it or damage it. Or should I just pull harder?
If home becomes famous (WoW famous) would it lead to the end of gaming consoles as we know it? If people spend more time at (virtual) home than playing games and it's financially successful (microtransactions) then the ps3 could transform into a social networking platform. Could this happen? Would this be a good thing? I do like the idea of PSH, I thought it was brilliant when it was only a rumor. They could even start adding quests to PSH later on. If Microsoft and Nintendo start make their own version of home then what would happen to the video game market? Would there still be demands for games? I for one have found games to be rather boring and uninteresting as of late. This sounds like a nice distraction. Not $600 worth mind you, but if I had a ps3 this is definitely a nice feature. Lets see how well sony delivers on this promise.
it looks cool, like animal crossing with people. wonder if microsoft or nintendo could copy the idea. the idea itself isn't new. i've seen a couple of virtual IM type programs, but they were always cartoony.
i have some time to kill and would like to kill it by reading some books. I thought I'd never say that once I'm done with school, but video games doesn't interest me as much as it use to. So what are some good books to read these days? Please no harry potter, or divinci code.
