@Khasym @Shantmaster_K Some would argue that there is a limit when what some parent does places other people and society injeopardy.

Also your last sentence, clearly most people cannot decide for themselves, because if that was the case, the mother of the shooter would have insured he did not have access to any of the guns in the home knowing there was something wrong with him.

@Shantmaster_K I've never played a game where I was given the option to kill children.

@Coco_pierrot They tried that w/ the ESRB trying to institute mandatory identification, but there is not enough regulation. Regulation costs money, money the states do not have.

@jazilla They are not attacking movies or TV, because in their mind, the gamer is controlling the character that is killing/maiming numerous people.

Here's an idea, how about parents actually doing their jobs. MS did not just design the 360 with a parental system just for $hit and giggles, they did it because there are a number of games out there that are not appropriate for people under a certain age.

I was in Gamestop grabbing a game and a kid grabbed FarCry 3 and gave it to the woman he was with. If the employee did not say anything, the woman would have bought it. Responsible people should not have to suffer for parents not doing their jobs.

@Ferrybird As someone who owns guns, there need to be more stringent rules on gun ownership and control. Unlike a lot of people that own guns I hunt with them. However, I do not believe there is a need to own a AR-15 just for the hell of it. Seriously, the woman in Newtown had an AR-15, single mom, in a pretty homogeneous society. Handguns, shotguns, hunting rifles fine. But in today's society with the number of shootings, laws need to be more stringent.

If people who own guns and have children in the house, do not know how to keep them locked up and safe, then they should not own guns. Not only that, the 2nd Amendment was written at a time, when the US was a young country and was a way to ensure that states could maintain a well regulated armed milita.

Is this surprising to anyone knowing how much Capcom likes their sequels and DLC?

@moviequest14 Agreed. While I love the Bioshock universe, having the opinions of informed gamers is more indicative of the market. Levine said that those that are not as informed are just as integral to the industry. I disagree. Those that are informed make up the majority of the sales in the first week, e.g., pre-orders day one buy because they know/have knowledge of the franchise, have seen gameplay etc.

COD is a great example. The amount of money spent on marketing that franchise results in billions of dollars spent by those that are just as uninformed due to the influx of information about that game, thereby making them informed due to the commercials and other adverts.

If he actually cared about the fans that have supported the franchise from day 1, then they would have had survey's on a variety of gaming sites as well as asking fraternity brothers.
