The reason we have more mandatory installs on the ps3 is because of bluray. Bluray has such an obscene amount of information on it that it woudl take forever to find all the information to load it. It becomes much quicker to run things off the hard drive rather then straight off the disk. So we can have the mandatory installs, we'd have ridiculus load times. Me? I'll take the installs anyday.

There are two things I don't like about my ps3, both have been mentioned

1) Lack of developer support. The ps3 is easilly the most advanced system on the market, so why doesn't it show it? cause it is harder to develop on the ps3. Its much easier to develop for the other guys, then give us half a$$ed ports, making our system look bad.

2) Sony's initial attempt to make this a multi-media machine. They seemed more focused on the multi-media part then the game part. I think recently is is becomeing more of a game machine that is also a multi-media machine. But maybe that is just because we are finally getting some Awsome games.

2.5) The small hard drive. Not so much a real complaint, cause I planed on updating it when i bought it anyway, but it is a small something i don't like about my ps3, so i decided to add it.

I won't be buying it.

I 'll just wait til Uncharted 2 comes out(Uncharted is a much better series anyway)

Shinedown220

I'm not sure one game constitutes a series, but yes, uncharted it much better then any of the newer tomb raiders

Unless you are in a state where sony has a physical store (do they even have these), then you don't pay sales tax. Even then, since its a digital product I'm not sure. Although TECHNICALLY you are supposed to turn around and pay that sales tax to your own state...but no one does this. So no, you shoudl not be taxed twice, unless you want to be a good citizen and mail your 5% to your state.

I don't know why they didn't just make thes available right away at launch like nintendo did. I could use credit card, but it just seems easier to buy the psn cards. I will probably start download alot more when these cards do become available.

I had something like that happen. it wasn't elf guy though, I think it was a nord...anyway I tried to ditch/kill him too and it didn't work. I just ended up have to reload to before i did it. But since you don't have a save before that, your either stuck with him or have to restart the game. Unless anyone else had the same problem and fixed it.

[QUOTE="thanos723"]

[QUOTE="NuKkU"]I say fallout 3 even thru i think both games are pretty dumbNuKkU

WHA?!

i dont like FPS all that much i know what ur bout to say Fallout 3 is a RPG but to me it looks 80%FPS and 20%RPG thats what it looks like to me if you disagree with me oh well but to me thats what it looks like

EDIT: Dont get me wrong i think both games will sell very well its just that FPS arent my type of games im more of RPG type of dude

I am getting fallout 3 at launch, but am worried about it being to much of a shooter and not enough rpg. The targeting system makes it look like you don't have to be that great at FPS to enjoy this game though.

If you bought it fairly recently and still want to try to find a BC one, try taking it back to best buy. I don't think they usually take stuff back on the premis that you just don't want it anymore, but since they mislead you, you should be able to do it. You might have to fight just a little, but it should work. Then you'll have the problem hunting down an older PS3, which might be a problem if you don't want to go used. Personally though, the BC isn't that big of a deal, especially since I still have my PS2.

Sony is already losing money on the PS3 at the current price point. Yes they would sell more, but that would just make them lose even more money. I don't see them droping price till at least next x-mas. Untill then they will keep making small upgrades to the Hard Drive, trying to justify keeping the price where it is to people who don't understand simple economics.
