Dirty Harry: The War Against Drugs. NES. 1990. Do ya feel lucky punk? Do ya? NO! I don't feel lucky at all.. If I was lucky, this game would be good!

Dudes with Attitude. NES. 1990. NES. This game is so bad that I want to burn my thumbs off with a sautering iron. And the grammar problems make it that much more agonizing!

I am just about over with my torture. I mean semester! The clamps of the 20 pager is tightening in many ways. Mostly because of it due next Tuesday! I have yet to work on the header thing, I'll have time for that eventually. At least everything else is done and I can enjoy myself for now. So, I bring to you another awesome Top 25 blog! There are two PC games on my list. There are also two basketball games on this list and this is one of them. I know I know there are a lot of twos in here. lol. I would guess that no one has heard of this game. If you have, awesome! :D This is an RPG that revolves around Charles Barkley! Yes, you heard me right... Charles Barkley. If you have not heard of him, he is a hall of fame basketball star that is not afraid to speak his mind. He is completely insane! Want some proof? I'll give you some quotes! Ala katamari way of quotyness! :P

"If you go out with a girl and they say she has a great personality, she's ugly. If they tell you a guy works hard, he can't play a lick. Same thing."

"I'm just what America needs - another unemployed black man." -Upon retirement.

"My goals are to play the piano and get really, really, really fat."

You play as Charles in the post apocalyptic world where basketball is illegal. I shudder to think (twitch). The game itself uses SNES graphics and music. However, the SNES had some of the best music ever and so does this! Wow does it sound wonderful! It really gets your heart pumping at places. The dialogue is absolutely hilarious and the many references to Space Jam are lovely, hehe. What's Space Jam you ask? Well..

Did I mention I love basketball? lol. I think it's noticeable. Anyhow, the gameplay is also amazing. Back in the day, I would never have thought that I would be writing a top 25 games list with an RPG based on Charles Barkley! A Sports game, yes, I can see that, but an RPG? :P You get to dictate this turn based game. Similiar to Chrono Trigger. Except with basketball! :lol:

This game is great. I could go on about it forever. It is amazing in delivery, gamplay, graphics, and sound. Anyone could enjoy this, even if you don't appreciate the sport, the satire and biting humor will get you. If not for the great RPG mechanics. That is the reason why Barkley, Shut Up and Jam Gaiden: Chapter 1 of the Hoops Barkley SaGa is number 18 on my list! But I'm not done yet... :P

I am taking from a disgusting amount of work which I am still doing. I have a 20 page paper, a presentation on that paper, a 10 page paper, a journal based on it, and French composition that I've been slowly working on. It's fun! I mentioned that that there would be two collections on my list. This is the second and final one. I promise. I chose it over the Mega Man X Collection because I didn't like those as much as the original series. This is a throwback to my time in the NES. I had Mega Man 1 and 2. I wound up renting all of the other games on this list. Yes, I remember the days that you could rent NES games. Those were the days...

These games were tough and I mean tough. Growing up I would get so upset because I was careless. It was easy to be careless in Mega Man games. They defintely required skill and precision. Something I had to hone and work at. This is the game that helped me pay attention to details. Every little bit matters. ;)

The game looked great and played great. The graphics were amazing on the NES and they aren't bad here. They do their job and that's fine with me. The reason why this game is awesome because I don't need to search for all the games that I loved as a kid and all of them from the NES is here. Also, I love them all equally. So I'm not trying to be cheap quiquexbs! Also, I'm sure you are pleased with this choice. :P

The Mega Man games have fun music! Especially when you die. Doo doo doo (fades away) do do do. The enemies are fun and creative. I really hate that one guy with the shield though. :evil: The bosses are as predictable as one can get. But they are almost all robots so that makes it credible. You can't go wrong with mad engineer and his evil robots.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection takes all the NES story games and puts them together. (Sorry Mega Man Soccer) The games are challenging, remind me of my past with their visuals, sound wonderful, and who doesn't like fighting evil robots? That is the reason why Mega Man Anniversay Collection is number 19 on my list!

My favorite Disney movie is the Lion King. Always will be and I watched it over and over as a kid. It moved me more than anything else at the time. Hello everyone! I am taking a break from my Top 25 games blogs! I'm at 19 at the moment, which is a perfect time for rest. The NEXT blog is my big 100th!!!! I have a big surprise for everyone. I hope you get to come by and celebrate with me. I'll resume my countdown after that one! I'd like to mention that s_h_a_d_o was freaking awesome and caught my metaphor on the last blog! I was frothing in anger as vinegar and baking soda combined. Way to catch that! :D

And so I didn't learn my lesson the LAST time I read the news on here. So, Reggie says to developers that Wii users also want AAA titles. Which I agree, I think that the Wii can handle great titles. Remember, I don't believe that graphics are an issue but fanboys do! And had to open their mouths again. Some quotes here: "The Wii can't handle it." "It is graphically insuperior." "The Wii brought in shovelware and crappy games so they deserve what they got."

It makes me wonder how long they played video games. Those poor ignorant saps don't realize that "shovelware" did not come in with the Wii. It has been on EVERY system imaginable. I'll be a gaming veteran of 20 years in February, I KNOW that there are horrible games for all systems. The graphics on the Wii are far better than anything I grew up with. So I decided, this blog is for the shovelware over the years. If you have been gaming for a short while or not as long as I have, you'll see some titles on here that you should NEVER try. Ever. Trust me on this. Let's get started shall we?

Chuck Norris Superkicks! Back on the Atari 2600, I remember this bright as rain. It's really really hard. I'd scream at the TV, lol.

Lord of the Rings: Journey to Rivendell. Yeah... it is an awful ripoff. And indeed shovelware, also Atari 2600.

Dr. Seuss's Fix-Up the Mix-Up Puzzler. Colecovision. Do I really need to say anymore about this game? :shock:

Miner 2049er. Also Colecovision. Hmmmmm... Donkey Kong much? Must have not been too bad for the remake to win an award over at IGN.

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. SEGA Master System. Save kids from a man named Mr. Big. (shudders)... They should make a sequel Mr. Big's Moonwalker. Save kids from a man named Michael Jackson.

My 100th blog is approaching the corner. I am very excited because I have an amazing plan for it. But before then, I have these wonderful Top Game blogs. The suspense has been circulating on what will be the second Wii game on it. Is it Brawl? Is it Galaxy? Is it Kitty Luv? :shock: Well, you'll have to tune in and find out. :P In the meantime, Number 20 is here! And it is...........

Halo 3 is a game that I really hate. Why do I hate it? I suck at it online AND it frustrates me to hell and back. So, why is it on my list? Because it does those things! When I need to let off some steam or blow a gasket, I'll pop in Halo 3 and yell obscenities. It really helps me release all negative energy that I have built up.

Story is really really short. The graphics are wonderful for what they do. The sound is awesome in Story. Seriously, everytime I hear someone say "I pwnd j00 nub!" I want to punch the kid in the face. For mulitple reasons. 1.) The voice is normally loud and high pitched. 2.) He is a kid who has nothing better to do with his time except play Halo. 3.) As a poet, I am angered by lack of proper pronounciation and spelling. 4.) What kind of word is pwn anyway?" and I could go on. I won't bore you with much more of that.

Playing around with the level editor thing is hilariously fun. I've read somewhere that someone proposed by using it. Kinda strange right? Ah, the joy of that. I like making obscure places and things. Once I spawned a tank onto my friend, we were both laughing. If there's anything I like the most about this game, it's the forge. Multiplayer is the kind of game which makes me and my friends argue. It's pretty funny most of the time, but still. What? How did I die? I killed you? Sometimes we all enter at once. Okay, "I killed you and he killed me. Suicide? What? Speaking of suicides, I'm the only person I know who killed himself with a sniper rifle. :P Yeah, it's nuts.

The gameplay is solid I guess. I love the forge. Made the game for me. Story didn't do it. Playing with friends is alright and sometimes fun. The reason why it is number 20 on my list is because it helps me with my anger when it arises. Not many games make me want to make me look like baking soda and vinegar mixed together. This one does! It's therapeutic to throw a sticky grenade into someone's face right? I hope I'm not the only one, lol. :twisted: For that, Halo 3 is number 20 on my list!

So, there's a place in my town called "Dave's Video" and they have a lot of used games on sale. And it's a lot cheaper than Gamestop and you find a lot of really old games. NES, SNES, Genesis, and any other system you can think of. It's all there. I love that place. While I was there, I saw a gold mine of things that I really wanted. Much like s0njas0n I couldn't resist. I was able to pick up 7 games for 35 dollars. And they are all great games that I could never have gotten at the time. Here's what I got.

And the Wii version of the 21st game on my Countdown! The one on the countdown regards to the Gamecube version. It is.....

Every main story Resident Evil has significance to me. The first one I played with my friend on the PSX with the lights off. Scared out of my mind! The remake was even more insane! The second one, I didn't get around to playing until it came out for the N64. For a long time, this one would go here. I thought about it, but it fell short. Nemesis was something, it's okay. Code Veronica was kind of strange to say the least but pretty good. If there ever was a complete Resident Evil game, this is it!

The graphics are gritty but marvelous. The sounds are shrieking but severe. To add to that, the challenge is insane. This game makes me frightened for Leon's life. I tremble everytime I pick up the controller. It successfully scares me in every single way except psychogical mind warping kind of way. (Hint: We'll get to that eventually in this list. ;))

The biggest part of the challenge in this game is the items. The really good ones, you don't get enough of. There is never enough herbs or ammo. You have to be conservative to to survive. The merch man always has stuff for you but most of the time, you have no money to get what you need. It's like, why do you tempt me merch man!? I can't buy that rocket launcher!!! :cry:

The bosses and enemies are horribly hard. Especially later in the game. It gets to you after a while. It's just maddening. I can't really play this all the way through in one sitting, it would take its toll. Thank goodness for saves. :P That is especially why I love this game. It forces you to look away after you had enough. Then you can come back to it later. Brilliant!

Challenging, beautiful and murky, and downright scary. Resident Evil 4 recaptured the fear I had back in 1996. That's why it is number 21 on my list!

P.S. I just may have to try Umbrella Chronicals. Eventually. :P

My big 100 is coming up sooon!!! I am excited for that! What else I am excited for is a poetry reading I will be doing in about a half hour! I've got some great stuff that will be fun to read. Especially the poor young (and older) people who won't understand what I am talking about! :D That makes me very happy. I'm sure going to have fun tonight, hehe.

Something bothers me though. I realized why I stopped going into news stories. I went into an article where EA talked about their latest game they are making. It is called EA Sports Active and it is training exercise where people can use to help themselves get in shape. Much like Wii Fit but not really since you don't need the balance board. In that article, there were a lot of comments. "When will the Wii come out with REAL games." "Go to an actual gym and get into shape!" "Are we going to get some AAA titles for the Wii or not?" "what has it been almost a year now since a game worth buying has come out for wii?" etc etc.. I couldn't stand it anymore.

I'm going to say that the Wii has lots of great games to play and because the casuals are finally getting a reason to play games, doesn't mean that there are not good games. Because they are there! Sure there's no Gears of War or Halo or Resistence or Metal Gear Solid (if you don't count Twin Snakes) or anything like that, doesn't mean it's bad. People just annoy me. At least 2 Wii games are going to make my list. And here is one of them!

Traditionally, I would HATE these Mario Kart titles. I can see why people like them so much but I can't. I just can't. The controls are funky to me and I wind up face first into a wall! :evil: That is until I gave this a go! And boy do I love it! Using the Wii Wheel makes things so much better. It is like I can play Mario Kart for the first time! Showing me that it can be fun! :D

The graphics are standard Mario and that's okay. The sound is pretty much the standard as well. That's okay too. If you've played any Mario Kart before, you've probably heard most of the soundtrack. It doesn't hurt the experience in fact, it gives me nostagia feelings about the HATRED I had for it. :evil: But with this version the hatred has become joy. I can race and actually place above 12th! Now that is saying something for someone who just can't play the games before it without crying. :cry:

The controls are easy and you have no problem figuring out what to do. Again, a BIG plus for me. As I hate just about every racing game known to man because of my lack of racing ability. Anothing big plus for Mario Kart Wii is that I can get my friends to play it too! With four of us playing it all at once, the competition gets down right sickening. I think that is great since we are all laughing and complaining and enjoying ourselves. With other games we just get angry at each other and then complain. The sheer joy of laugher is great enough in this game!

This is a game to be played among other great titles for the Wii. If someone has the audacity to say the Wii doesn't have games, they would be very wrong. If someone says it's all for casual gamers, they would be wrong also. I've been playing video games for 20 years starting Feburary 2009. And I have a Wii and enjoy it very much. This is the first Mario Kart I like. I can actually play the thing. It is easy to use and my friends and I love it. For this reason Mario Kart Wii is number 22 on my list! :D

Before I start, Ball State beat Miami(Ohio) tonight. 31-16! I was a bit worried after the first half when Miami was up by a field goal but my guys pulled through. It was a good game well played. May be next time to my rival, Yagr_Zero, we got the best of you this time.

I'm watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. He's in Ethopia and they are making a 3 hour cup of coffee! The first thing I thought of was my good friend, katamari! He tried it with salt and butter. Interesting eh? hehe. Strangely, he looks almost like katamari. I did say almost didn't I? :P What do you all think?

This will be the first game on my list that will take some flack. I know this for a fact because either... 1.) You have never heard of it. 2.) Heard of it but passed it up.

Echo Night which was generally not well recieved... (Gamespot gave it a 4.5.) is a game which is a big significance for me. Even when I knew that the graphics were not the best in the world, the game doesn't any action that you can interact with, and the controls are horrible at best. But that was not important.

What Echo Night did was everything else. The music pulled the player into the blocky world no matter what! It sounded tense when it needed to be tense, it was mysterious when one was doing puzzles, and so forth. The puzzles as well were head numbing and I needed a guide to help me with it. This was way back in 1999 and I was like 13 then and they were tough! The story was of "paranormal" porportions. It is much like a mystery that needs to be solved.

This game is something I will never forget. A storyline that weighed more than visuals can provide. Music that makes the horrible controls worth playing. This is special for me because I had never seen this kind of thing before. It was like taking control of "Ghost Hunters" and "Sherlock Holmes" mixed together. For that reason, Echo Night is Number 23!

Before I forget, Happy Belated Birthday from JPG to katamari! Also, Ball State is 14 in the nation. We are climbing the ladder! Got to maintain my composure. Relax... because here's number 24!!!!!!!!!!! :D

There's something about mixing mythology and video games that sound so appeasing to me. Especially one that is well done as this. God of War brings to life the words on the page that I read daily. Being an old fogey of literature (my username says it all), this is a game that has no choice but to appear on my list.

Aside from our kick butt protagonist, Kratos, it has familiar faces and references that is welcome. Not only that, it feels like something that I would read. The story definitely wraps you up in this world because the content is used appropriately. It opens up these stories and seals them up creating an air tight system. God of War recreates my world in literature WITHOUT screwing it up. Now that is awesome!

God of War's graphics are eye-popping. It is the most beautiful game that I have ever seen on the Playstation 2. It proves that graphics and gameplay CAN work together. On that subject, the gameplay is something special. The puzzles are original and brutal. Fighting in God of War is so fluid and intuitive. Something inside me laughs in glee when I rip off the wings of a Harpie. I hope I'm not the only one. :shock: :twisted:

The sounds of God of War are a real auditory experience. It's the first time I have heard a full symphony orchestra inside a game. It's exhilerating! The shrieks, screams, and sizzling of the Blades sound great! Don't get me started on the narrator. Linda Hunt's voice ties the bow on the present. This game ROCKS!

God of War's story is something right out of my books. The visuals warm my heart with their gloriously bloody characters and massive architecture and bosses. Linda Hunt and the rest of the sound and music are intense. Plus the gameplay is polished in every single way. For these reasons, the first God of War is number 24 on my list!!!
