The problem is PCs are getting better all the time, as a console gamer i don't want to play games on an outdatd machine, you can't have too long a lifespan on a console, hell I REPLACE MY CUMPUTER EVERY 4 YEARS. I think 2014 is way to late they should put them out in 2011-2012.

I've been thinking about this alot lately. the next generation of gaming will probably have near photo realistic graphics, but the downside is the games and the systems that run them will probably be outrageously expensive. Think 60$ games and 400-600$ game consoles are pricey?(at launch) Think about 80-90$ games and 1200$ or more consoles! I know it sounds high now, but it's gonna take a lot of cash to make the games of the next generation. That is why I want to see this gen last as long as possible.

Remember when Sony said that they wanted the PS3 to be a 10 year console? I sure hope so, same goes for the 360. I want to see a new console around 2013 or 2014.
