As a person who has put around 60 hours into the game I respectfully disagree. If you looked more closely at the patches they did more than just "nerf stuff". They did other stuff like: Get rid of that glitch on SVER's domination map where they can disarm C4 inside. Made the respec option cost 3000 XP so you can respec pretty much whenever you want. Made it so that stuff like bunkers, doors and AA batteries make a loud "beep" sound just before they explode(It helps a lot) and made it so that you don't lose XP when you kill one of your team mates when said stuff explodes. I for one am really enjoying this "beta".
- I've likely played the game in beta and retail longer then all of you combined.
- The Issues I said were legitimate nearly every single map design flaw, and balance issue existed in the beta moved to the retail.
- The patch nerfed nearly every weapon in the game, Most SVER battles still outcome in them winning, zipper didn't rebalance things smartly they just nerfed things like the bad developer they are.
So as I said the article is crap its more a support and poster article and advertisment for zipper and Socom *no wonder since its dualshockers* instead of a legititmate gripe about how MAG was still in beta since launch for 60 bucks and even now they didn't smartly rebalance the game and maps they just nerfed stuff.
When your game has to have so many patches after release *i do believe 1.03 is the 2nd to 3rd patch* then you know your product is still a beta.

You must have not played the game recently. The latest patch fixed pretty much every balance issue the game had.[QUOTE="clubsammich91"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]
thats the worst article I've ever read he talks more about socom then he does mag.
reasons why mag is a 60 dollar beta.
- all the balance issues from the beta existed in the retail product.
- The majority of map design flaws reported 1000's of times in the beta still exist in the retail product.
A beta is ment to fix these types of things yet they exsited in the beta, and still in the retail product the latest update was supposed to fix these issues but I doubt we'll see SVER losing their status as invinicble anytime soon.

Not just recently, I doubt he's ever played the game at all. :P
Nah, he has. Those issues he's complaining about were legitimate, but like I said, everything is all well and good after the latest patch. It's the perfect example of a developer listening to the feedback of a community. You must have not played the game recently. [QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]Interestingly enough, I believe they allow some Consoles in UK prisons. The low security, with good behaviour kind of deals. Though, PS3 and PS2 were both banned, last I heard, due to built in wifi, and the ability to view porn (?) respectively. It blows my mind that when I'm playing a game online, I could be playing with a dude who's in prison. "Knifed you in the face boy!" "Well, at least I don't have to worry about dropping the soap in my shower"1. they'll never allow you to have such things.
2. the only system you'll be playing in a Prison will be a Wii.
3. the only games you'll be playing are with the other inmates or Wii Sports.
