I totally agree. Do the math! 1 hour of TV a day (an amount which most Americans would view as conservative) for your entire life means 4% of your entire life is taken up sitting in front of that damned box. Yes TV in Japan is much more suave and sophisticated then the stupid stuff we simple folk watch here in the states:roll:. TV is the same all around the world, generally bad programming with a few exceptions.

I was reading the book by Kurt Vonnigut where everyone was numbed from the waste down. So sex would only be used for procreation instead of pleasure.

It's kinda genius when you think about it.(Spoiler)The show centers around Tony, without him there would be no Sopranos. So the way I see it he gets shot, but since a bullet travels faster than the speed of sound we don't here it. It kills Tony instantly hence why the screen goes black.
