What is it about a popular Summer blockbuster that makes people so biased against it? Just because it's an action movie, and not a riveting drama, people feel the need to bash on it.

The fact is, Inception is without doubt one of the most innovative movies of all time, like it or not.

More like one of the dumbest, most overhyped movies of all time.

The dream world concept has been done and done better.

By who?

Total Recall and The Matrix off the top of my head.

I agree.

Also, Inception winning best cinematography was truly hilarious.

The social network sucked. It was like watching a TV movie of the week. Not worthy of a theatrical release and certainly not worthy of any Oscars.

And Inception was a dumb movie that tried to seem smart. I'm also glad it didn't win anything big.

Almost everything I watch is on Showtime, HBO, or AMC, except for South Park and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Pretty much everything on the main networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC) is absolute garbage these days. Lots of reality shows, dumb sitcoms, and generic cop, legal, or medical shows. They just don't have the balls to air anything really edgy or original like Breaking Bad or Dexter.

Decriminalize drugs. You'd see a dramatic drop in the prison population then.

Palantas

To my thinking, this would reduce a great deal of crime, not simply because people will be doing the same things can not getting charged, but because criminal enterprises associated with drugs will dissolve. Huge rackets exist because of the drug trade. If someone can grow pot or snort cocaine legally, then these rackets no longer have a reson to exist, because people can call the police if threatened with violence over their drugs.

See, there you go; no sarcasm there.

The problem is that the prison industrial complex would never allow this to happen. Most of the prisons in this country are run by corporations, and there's too much money to be made in locking up drug offenders. If you thinned the prison population out by 70%, the government would just be locking up real criminals and would have no reason to subcontract out to these companies.

Exactly. Something like 70% of the people in prisons are there for non-violent drug offenses. Murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc account for a tiny percentage of the prison population.

Stop locking up non-violent drug offenders who would be in rehab instead of prison if they were rich.

They've all closed in my area, and honestly good riddance. Blockbuster hasn't been relevant for years and they were a ripoff.
