@Jag85: @Jag85: I don't think Mayweather KOs him with power. It would be from the accumulation of punches and McGregor getting tired in the later rounds. Getting punched for 7 to 8 rounds is punishing. 10 to 12 can be debilitating. I could be wrong, but I don't think McGregor is conditioned for that.

I understand why people think Mayweather's fights are boring. Defense in any sport seems less appealing than offense for spectators. I just get annoyed how people equate boring with running. He's not a runner. He's a master of defense with highly accurate counter punches. For me the joy in watching his fights is seeing him make great fighters look ordinary. That's the beauty of all time greats in every sport. Making extraordinary look ordinary.

Like Maidana, I get the feeling McGregor will do the same. It's hard to go back to fighting for relatively small purses when you just made 100 million on one fight.

I'm a fan of both fighters, but this is not going to be competitive. Mayweather will win easily and possibly by KO since McGregor has no professional boxing experience. McGregor's endurance is questionable, his durability for a boxing match is questionable and he just doesn't have the skills or ring acumen to compete with an all time great.

And post after post calling Mayweather a runner is ridiculous. If you think he is running, you don't know how boxing works and/or are upset that whoever you wanted to beat him in the past couldn't do it.

Running is giving up and strictly trying to survive or quit. What Mayweather does is defensive movement involving superb footwork. He gets out of the range of his opponents, forces them to chase setting up his own attack which is counter punching. You should also note that in the first half of his career, he was a much more aggressive fighter who came forward more often. The obligatory "watch Mayweather vs Corrales". With age though he has chosen to focus more on defense and not giving himself up to potential damage. Smart actually. I understand people (casual fans or non fans watching socially) view his fights as boring, but for boxing purists they are marvelous to watch. Point being Mayweather, the boxer, is an amazing talent and should be regarded as such.

I'm more worried that McGregor will never fight again because of all the money he will make. I want to see him fight Max Holloway again but doubt it ever happens.

lol you still on that shit. Dude, that thread is done, get over it and move on.

i saw racist statements in that thread and im not gonna get over it

You should get some thicker skin. There are much more disconcerting things in the world than racists on a gaming forum.

To TC, I say sure start posting again. It seems the same to me minus some people.

I miss unions.

@mems_1224: You should erase that last pic since it doesn't count.

Better than Curry? Uh, no one thinks that, bro. Hell, I bet even you don't even think that deep down, lol.

Totally. I mean how could KD not want to play on a team with such a great group of guys that also just want to win? It sure beats playing for stats and having no rings to look at on your finger. :)

Curry is better at shooting. Maybe has better handles. It ends there though. Harden plays better D despite what you think from what you hear on social media or espn. I watch almost every Rockets game. His mishaps just get overblown. He is a bigger body and drives the lane much better. He's a better passer with better court vision. He's an all around better scorer. Overall he has a much more rounded game than Curry and can offer a team more.

Harden just had a historical season that very few players have achieved. So yes, he is a top 5 player. He did this with an average cast at best. He is the definition of making his team and teammates better. His problem is his focus. He parties too much. I'm not against it, but only if he can perform at his top level the next day. Against the Spurs, he couldn't.

I say all that, but do acknowledge the overall greatness of the Warriors. I hate that KD went there, but it is what it is. I did find it amusing how he went there with the 2 time MVP and essentially took the team over as the best player. Obvious is obvious. Curry is not as great as people make him out to be. He barely cracks the top 10 if that. I equate Curry winning those 2 MVPs to Nash winning his. Highly questionable.

MLB The Show 17

The actual soundtrack is good not great. There is not a lot on offer. The real greatness is creating your own soundtrack and the ability to change it to fit your mood at any time.

I saw the title and was upset because I just got a Pro. After seeing the picture and the game included, I much prefer my stock black Pro.

White plastic has always looked cheap to me. Silver as well.

Heavyweights are not the best, but they are the most exciting.

Your argument makes a lot of assumptions. A heavyweight would most likely knockout a welterweight due to the size difference. That is not always the case though. There are some lower weight fighters that could beat some heavyweights. Power only works when you can land those punches. A good smaller boxer could just move a lot, tire the heavyweight out and get him in the later rounds. A middleweight with good power like Jermall Charlo has enough size to knockout any size man. Skill and ability would still play a large part in the outcome of the fight.

I know this is referencing the elite levels, but you made a general statement based on size. I have witnessed 150 lb guys sparring guys over 200 lbs and working them over because they were too fast and too skilled. There was a lower weight boxer in the early 1900s who fought and beat heavyweights. I can't think of the name. Jimmy Wilde comes to mind, but it wasn't him. He is just one of the hardest punchers ever.

The Joshua v Klitschko was a great fight, but I would argue the welterweight division is currently the most exciting with some of the best possible matchups especially if you include Terrence Crawford and Mikey Garcia.

Just came to me. The lower weight fighter I was referring to previously was Sam Langford.

It's a movie based on a powerful female lead. It's only 1 or 2 screenings at one Alamo Drafthouse location. Not a big deal. If females attend, and it makes the company money, good for all.

The only reason this is making national headlines is because some attention seeking netizens are always looking for something to get riled up over.

I lived in Austin for 10 years. I'm certain people there do not care and are probably very supportive of Alamo Drafthouse doing this. If people want to see the movie, there are a number of other theaters including other Drafthouse locations around the city.
