The big advantage for me is that all my friends are already on xbox. I couldn't care less about slightly better graphics; I just want balanced online gameplay. And you missed one pretty big point that many overlook as meaningless: mics. The quality of PS3 mics is lacking and Sony should have packed a cheap mic in with their console. The best thing about xbox is that when I turn it on I feel connected to my friends and a giant online community. It's kinda like a social network. I don't even play my wii because I feel isolated when I turn it on.
That's just my opinion. And yea I don't have a PS3 but I want one for the exclusives, and if all my friends were on it I probably would have gotten one, but I don't have the money and I don't feel that it's worth it for single player games.
And the Kinect and the Move both look stupid, so neither are really a draw for me.
Wow. I guess I'll play it a lil bit. They added player matches but you can't swap weapon spawns so it's kinda pointless. I'll still never get to level 100 though.
Halo was the first console shooter that really worked, now console shooters are more popular than pc shooters, there's influence for ya. If you deny that fact, just look at the sales of Modern Warfare 2. Also Halo made Major League gaming waay more popular.
Finally got the "Enduring Icon" achievement in skate for 20G, get 2000 online xp points, giving me 1000G in the game. I was putting off grinding the achievement for like a year but I just got it.
Yeah only for the first game you play in the lobby, then you have even less control over which map you play, as there is no veto system or anything. Another messed up thing about that system is that you can't back out of a lobby until the next map is loaded and you have joined it. This is extremely annoying and don't even try to argue that it's a good interface. But the game's good. lol
Eh, it's definitely not the same, but only get it if a few of your friends have it. It is not very fun to play alone. I guess it just depends on the style of game you want. bc2 is an objective-based, slower paced squad tactical game if that's your thing. I personally like mw2's gameplay better, but I have more of a preference for more fast-pacedonline. I would just rent it and see if you like it.
