There is no reason to dislike PS3 options with such insignificant issue. PS3 is a next generation consoles and two models that are sold both support older games. :)

Excuse me, do you know me? Have we played in the sandbox together at some point in our lives? What just because I got a PS2 game means I got a PS2? That's very prejudice of you.

I infact do not have a PS2, I sold it in order to upgrade to a next gen console created by Sony's arch nemesis. I now want to get a PS3, not ONLY for next gen gaming because there are only a couple of PS3 titles available that I want but I also want to play GoW 2 since I missed out on it and play the only PS2 game I couldn't let go. But if Sony takes away BC, I dont know what I'll do. 60gb models won't be around much longer. THERES NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT

Uhhh... you can stil buy the 80 GB PS3 which supports some BC. Or you could just wait until Christmas for the PS2 $99 price cut and buy one then. Either that or just dont buy a PS3 because sounds like you were just banking on a PS2.

yea i know the ps3 is well made and probibly wont break on me i just hate the thought of it breaking. i guess its because its new and 1 of the most expensive things i have bought i guess once i have had it a year or so i wont be too bothered.

if the ps3 is anythinbg like the ps2 then ill stop worrying, i put my ps2 into a wooden box and covered the vents on my ps2 so it would break and i would have a good reason to get a ps3 but after a couple of hours the ps2 was still running fine

They're here because the Halo3 launch made them go crazy and realize that while the 360 pumps out all these titles, they're straving for some good games. I guess they make these posts so they won't feel like they may have wasted money on a failing console.

no contest - i can play the 360 titles right now. as a matter of fact, i AM playing them right now. but not to flame the PS3 too much, Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, and MGS 4 look pretty awesome (and eventually God of War 3; one of my favorite franchises ever).

NO. Never sell a console! There will always be some game down the road you will want to play!

Save up for the 360, and enjoy both!

Gran Turismo 3 launced on PS2 in 2001, then the PS2(somebody correct me here) had not even reached 10 million BUT it ended up selling 14.87 MILLION.
