sony took out this sort of protection case for some of the components to make it lighter and such the chunky one has it to protect it from falls and stuff so the slim is eazier to break than the chunky, i like the chunky more cuz the weight of it fells like its actually worth 170$ but i cant find them anywere soooooooo yea CHUNKY FTW even though i have a slim
