In my opinion, it is idiotic and dumb to think that they did on purpose to get attention. Liberation had a female protagonist. Many of the games included characters that were female assassins and they, in some cases, had more personality than the main character.
cooolio's forum posts
Hyped by W3. However the lack of gameplay footage up to this point is upsetting. Don't think they have the confidence to show it just yet, just tiny bits and cutscenes.
BW has done a good job so far in getting a clear feel of their new game for the public.
Do not worry there will be gamplay e3.
@GreySeal9: Then why do you find GoW boring? its just hack'n'slash with great graphics&cheesy greek story.
@cooolio: He's talking about circa:2007 when it was released it was really overrated and i agree with him... i am guilty of overrating that game but can you blame me? it was kinda unique for its time.
Idk. i never really read the reviews and when I did a few months ago, most of them said that it was good with great concepts, but repetitive missions. I guess that it probably had those groups of people that loved it. But I do agree, it was really unique. Now......ugh.

Is that another name for the game? Either way it was not that popular
Left 4 Dead, at least the console version anyway. It only had like 3 short missions and that was it, not worth $60.
Halo ODST was the same way, I don't understand how it got such high reviews.
The first Assassin's Creed game and GTA 5 were also overrated IMO.
BioShock Infinite, good gameplay but the story line was a mess and none of the choices you made had any real impact on the story. It's the same ending every time regardless.
You must not know how everyone feels about that game. Everyone says that the missions are repetitive. If anything, it is underrated.
Its cool man. We all see how those really bad fanboys are, and I despise their ways. But yeah TAS was the shit when I was a kid. The movies are cool to, but no one beats Kevin Conroy when it comes to the voice.
It basically showed the great potential that MGS V has. The crazy thing is that there will be a lot of stuff in TPP that GZ did not even have. There were dumpsters in Ground Zeroes that you could not hide in, but the small footage from MGS V showcased it, along with the box. I am really excited. That is really one of the only two games that is convincing me to get a PS4 or Xbone.
Yes I will buy Metal Gear 5 The Phantom Pain when it is released in Dec 2014. I have a feeling that this game will end up being delayed until 2015. But I will buy it, even if this ends up happening.
Dude, no one is really counting on it to come out until probably early 2015. Do not get your hopes up.
@MirkoS77: Who's being punished? I've said this so many times, the publishers are the ones who get paid by the sale- the devs are paid for their work. And after single handedly minting a whole new genre(or at least revolutionizing an old one), and regardless of how Arkham Knight works out, do you think they'll have any trouble getting signed on with any publisher out there?
Y'know, though, now that you mention it, there is a reason I have to be tired of the Batman games- you know I'm not a Batman fan, right? Never have been, at least not more than watching a movie and worshipping the old Batman: TAS when I was a kid. No, in all of the Arkham games to date, the story was always the weakest part. It was always a nuisance I put myself through in order to unlock all of my superbitchin' moves.I've got near 3 hundred hours in the game and only ever completed one play through. The problem with AO was that it was AC all over again, but 90% of the changes were bad ones and it was executed so poorly that even the combat from AC wasn't enjoyable. And the the new martial artist enemy(the one good addition to the franchise), it really should have been.
What do you know, me too
@MirkoS77: I'm not laying the blame at Rocksteady's door; I'm putting it on WBIE. They were the ones who felt the need to pump out a half assed sequel rather than letting Rocksteady complete their work in peace. They knew that the Arkham name would sell megabucks and, I'm assuming, counted on the Rocksteady name to recover the series' rep after the debacle. For you and Coolio, it seems to have worked, but it won't work on me. Now, I'm not saying I'll never buy it- what I'm saying is that it won't induce me to buy a next gen system just to play it. If I had been starved of the series since AC, I absolutely would have.
As far as my interest in the series, I will admit that of all the different permutations of the combat system I've played since Arkham Asylum, the Arkham series is no longer top dog. But that doesn't mean I'm tired of it- I still keep Arkham City on my standby list and play it every month at least.
I find it just as confusing that you don't feel that it harmed the brand as you do that I think it did.
Alright, lets get one thing straight. I am not cool with the Arkham name because of "Rocksteady's name", I just did not even mess with Origins because it looked like waste of money because nothing seemed to have really changed in the gameplay, and according to your dissatisfaction and slight anger, I was right. Yes, I guess it did harm the brand in some way. Some people are skeptical because of Origins, like you, and some people feel like they are kind burned out with the Arkham games. But it is not something that is very bad.
Like I said, I am not excited because its Rocksteady. I played one freaking Arkham game, one. And it was Arkham Cit, and i brought it earlier this year when it was on sale and played it for the first time . I am excited because of the batmobile's capabilities. all of the new features, and the potential that it has due to the PS4 and Xbox one. I respect you. You seemed to be very intelligent person, but do not ever label me in a way that makes it seem like I am a fanboy of a certain developer or that I look over bs and half assed games that in any franchise because I believe that certain developers can do know wrong.
