Its a bit of an urban legend that gamers don't have partners, only the other day I was accused on xbox live that I've never been with a girl and never will lol... why do people assume that if your a gamer then you don't have a partner.

gotta love the irony there... for the record I'm married now, and I was pretty wild in my high school and college days. I stayed away from steady relationships but I was never without a date if you know what I mean. And I've been a gamer the entire time. I have met a few sad souls in my life that are destined to have to pay for companionships or die a virgin, and many of them were gamers. To me it seemed they turned to games because of their situation...not the other way around. Most of the people I met like this were PC Gamers though, WOW type of stuff. Not your typical console gamer.
This is a good point, do you guys think the myth came from PC gamers playing WOW?
