It would be the easiest thing to explain the "lore" for Eivor's gender. Simply that the DNA was fuzzy and they don't know if Eivor was male or female. Hence, allowing the player to decide.
As a side note, the body language being displayed by Druckmann is NOT that of someone who is confident and excited about the product they are about to release. He looks incredibly apprehensive. Probably realises they sh*t the bed this time.
@aross2004: Fantastic observation! But with one mistake: You assume I am trying to disguise something by exclaiming "exposed!". I'm not trying to hide anything. Yes, I was a huge fan of the original TLOS and I was really looking forward to the sequel. If you read my FULL comment and not just the part you want to read, then you will understand that at some point the game was NOT tainted for me and I was very much interested in it.
@consolehaven: I'm afraid so. I really wished for Naughty Dog to come forward and deny those claims, but they didn't which means that the leaks are actually true for how the game plays out. It is just horrendous. I've lost all interest.
