TUNE OF THE DAY

Small Faces: Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday afternoon, I've got no time to worry...

(I really don't!)

I received quite a bit of critisism after my last blog when I said that Greg Laswell's version of "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" was a lot better than the "terrible 80s version". Well I'm sticking with it, and I ask you: how can this possibly be better than this?? :P

.................................

Had too much free time lately (never thought I'd here myself say that!), so I thought "why not write yet another blog"?

"OH SH!T"

That's what I was thinking to myself the other day as I almost caused a three car pile up  While I've been doing my blog rounds I can't help but notice that there has been a few of you involved with car accidents recently, so I do apologise for this.

Anyway, I was walking through town aiming to drop off a parcel (containing a £200 Archos device, but that's for another blog) and, as usual, I was in my own little world. I came up to a junction (which is a fairly heavy one) and I remembered the old hedehog adverts...

VIDEO LINK

...so I looked and listened for cars. There were a few waiting at a traffic light but obviously not moving so I started to head across the road.

BIG MISTAKE

What happened next? To be honest, I'm not even sure! All I know is as I was halfway across the road, a car came up from behind me and breaked suddently. I let out the aforementioned expletive and legged it to the other side. After a quick turn to apologise, I quickly hurried out of the way...

.................................

We're having our old kitchen ripped out at the moment so the entire house stinks of dust and damp. We've always hated our kitchen ever since we moved into the house 5 years and we're now finally getting rid of it. But I know what you're thinking...

IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD

BET I'VE SEEN WORSE

probably winging over nothing

Well, I guarrentee to you that it is that bad. I might try and upload some pics next time to prove to you! I guess it was put in circa 1975 () and is bright mustard yellow. Yes, mustard yellow! Anyway, I spent all afternoon today breaking up the old cabinets (and catching myself on old nails), and let me tell you this, there is no better stress reliever than hitting an old kitchen cabinet with a 3 foot mallet!

.................................

Now, some TV.Com news!

I've been going a bit crazy with the submissions lately, which has launched me up to level 31!

Now that is a nice emblem!

I've also managed to make into the covetered top 500 members!

So in the words of that round Japanese guy:

YATTAH!

Also, earlier this week Lin (LMH68 ) made me a trusted contributer on another of my favourite shows:

ROOM 101

Check out a clip here:

.................................

The series premire of "Flashpoint" (my new guide ;)) was brilliant, this series shows a lot of potential and I just hope CBS doesn't gut it the same way they did Jericho

.................................

I saw a promo the other night for Bradley Whitford's new miniseries "Burn Up". This show looks brilliant, like another West Wing / Studio60 $tyle show that we all know he is great in.

Check out a promo here:

.................................

A friend of mine has been nagging me for years to watch Doctor Who, I've tried it and it just isn't for me (listens out for hushed whispers). It seems he's now moved onto the next best thing and is attempting to get me to see Torchwood, well I guess it's only fair I give it a go so tonight I will be letting my sci fi guard down and checking out the show I've heard so much about!

.................................

Right, I've been blogging way too much lately so this may be it for a full week ( as if that's gonna happen :P ), so what show is this person from?

(Figured it's about time we had an easier one!). Answers please :D

Last blog's person was Josh Hopkins who can currently be seen on the surprisingly addictive drama "Swingtown". As Cenina was quick to point out though he's also been in "Bones", "Ally McBeal" and many other shows! Only one person guessed last week and that was Cenina so a huge congratualtions to her!

That's it for now,

Tom. :)

Yet another quiz!

Now that Heroes has finished, BBC Two is reintroducing their usually terrible Thursday comedy night. Tonight at 9pm is the return of Mock The Week, I don't usually like this show but I'll try it again tonight just to see if it's improved.

Following that at 9:30pm is new comedy "Lab Rats", which looks a more zany, more surreal Big Bang Theory!

.................................

Has anyone else been watching Austrailian comedy "Summer Heights High" recently? 'm realy enjoying this BBC Three import, as the satire is spot on! The characters are perfect parodies of people at school and it's hilarious seeing them being made fun of! It's told in mockumentary $tyle so it's quite similar to The Office, but obviously no where near as good.

.................................

Right, that's it for this blog, but as usual, what show is this person from?

Answers please :D

Last blog's person was Rose Byrne (:)) from Damages, congrats go out to Ela (mafalda) and Cenina, obviously last week's was harder than usual!

So, goodbye for now,

Tom. :)

To read or not to read, for that is the question...

TUNE OF THE DAY

Grant Lee Buffalo: Happiness

Good song and a House music video!

.................................

The Sky Broadband saga continues! Remember last time when I said it hadn't worked for a full 24 hours? Well since then it's worked (that box is ticked), but it's been insanely slowly and intermitante. I did a bit of digging and I discovered that Sky is doing something called DLM on all its lines. Basically, the idea is they have a fiddle with our lines for 20 days, during which the connection will be frustraingly slow. However, at the end of the period the speed should be better.

Annoyingly the Sky ba$tards didn't bother to tell us any of this! I had to go digging around the web to find out about it, but I did uncover this handy site:

http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-dlm/

So once again...

...but only if it can be ar$ed to work!

I'm meant to be getting an 8MB connection (so I should recieve ~5MB at the best of times), but look at what I have been getting:

And yesterday it was even worse:

PAH!

.................................

Let's get rid of all that unpleasantness and do a great British thing... talk about the weather! The weather is still awful here in Cumbria, so much so that yeterday we got a full blown thunder storm! :grumble: :grumble:

Feckin' Sky Broadband! All day yesterday, for no apparant reason, is refused to work! Just flat out refused. The router sat there, looking smug and I swear it was mocking me! Lousy cotton-pickin' bast...

...but only if it can be ar$ed to work...

.................................

I've got to tell you about these great documentaries I've been watching lately. Since 2006 Louis Theroux has been making invesgitave documentaries about various "extreme situations" that Joe Bloggs doesn't get to experience.

The first in the series ("Gambling In Las Vegas") followed a couple of high rollers around the Las Vegas Hilton, showing us how they manage to "enjoy" a trip (in other words, lose everything!). It was an eye opening documentary, and Louis' ****is brilliant! Don't expect this to be a run of the mill type thing you see on Discovery, this is proper prime time entertainment!

The second in the series was about the "Most Hated Family In America", the members of the Westboro baptist church who are openly against homosexuals, jews, african americans and others. There're pretty much modern day Hitlers. When I was watching I honestly felt extremely angry, these people go to the funerals of dead soldiers and shout insults at the family, telling them the person they've lost is "in hell" because he's American... and America tolerates homosexuality. It still amazes that today, when teenagers are shooting each other every day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl0G84ZmHY8), HIV and AIDS are rapant in the developing world and Mugabe is slaughtering people so the average age is 37, all these people care about is someone's sexuality. If there is a God, then these are the people who are going to hell.

This is an extremely eye opening documentary at the sickness of these people and honestly, everybody shoudl see it.

The other shows in the series focus on plastic surgery, the San Franciso prison and African Hunting. The shows can all be watched online below:

If you get a chance check some of these out, they are fascinating.

.................................

Right, enough of the serious stuff! I've finished season 1 of Bones and I must be crazy because I'm taking a break from it as I want to rewatch my faourite new drama series "Damages"!

.................................

Missing words is still on hiatus, be back soon! Or I might try something different... watch this space... ;)

.................................

This has been quite a boring blog I know, so let's quickly get it wrapped up! What show is this person from?

Answers next time ;) Last blog's person was Emily Deschanel from Bones, congrats go out to Jon, Phin, Ester, Alyce, Madison and Daria... phew, I'm gonna have to make these harder! :D

That's it,

Tom. :)

PS: Back To You tonight! This show is getting really good now! :D

TUNE OF THE DAY

...Today's spin of the wheel lands on...

The Jam: Smithers Jones

This is one of my favourite songs and if you listen to the lyrics you hear a great story!

.................................

Not going to be a very long blog today as I can't be bothered to write too much  But I was tagged by Daria so it's only fair that you all get to know 10 interesting (or scary) facts about me!

1. I have a third eye

2. It has been said I can move glasses with my mind

3. If you want it to be Sunny then just let me know... I can do it.

4. Dr. Dolittle was the only person who could talk to animals, right? Wrong: I had a very thought provoking conversation with a chicken earlier.

5. I can easily lift a car

6. I'm originally from the North Pole (lived down the road from the jolly guy... b*stard never returned my toaster)

7. I have four nipples (take that Chandler Bing!)

8. I can turn the computer on with my mind

9. I know the entire library of Charlies Dickens off by heart (every line, every sentence, every breath)

10. I tell a lot of lies

Of course, every single one of them is a lie: don't worry I'm not that much of a freak! I suppose it's only fair I give you some real ones, so here are ten very real facts about the real me:

1. I live in Cumbria, England

2. I cycle two miles every day, trying to not drop below 10mph

3. I have another 9 weeks off work :D

4. I have developed an irrational phobia of bleach! Let me explain: last year in Chemistry, some guy got some chemical in his face and let's just say that it wasn't pleasant. My entire cla$$ then become pretty much petrified off doing experiments and, for me, this manifested into a phobia of household bleach. I have no idea why! Now, if I'm in the same room as a bottle of the stuff I honestly get panicked! Strange and weird I know, but some people are afraid of oranges!

5. I have a cat which is called, wait for it, "Buttons": THIS IS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME! I did not name the animal, if I had it would have been called something like Jerry or Rover as a very cruel joke! :D

6. I have a slight "crush" on Rashida Jones!

7. My middle name is Simon

8. I spend an inordiante amount of time on my hair!

9. I want to study law at university

10. I listen to a lot of music! LINK

So there you go, ten very strange facts about me. I actually feel a bit more a freak now! :D

.................................

Just thought I'd point out this news article, which should make all you women ashamed of yourselves! :D

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/a104645/women-rush-through-sex-for-tv-shows.html

.................................

Lin (LMH68) has very kindly made me a trusted contributer for "Have I Got News For You"! As many of you know this is one of my favourite programmes and I'm now trusted! Woo!

.................................

I'm now addicted to Bones! As many of you know I was put up to watch this and I'm now addicted to it! Seriously, this is a great show. I'm nearly finished season 1, and then I'll be straight onto season 2!

.................................

Time for the missing words round! Last time I posted up the difficult:

"COLLECTORS OF EXPIRED TAX DISCS CAN ADD TO THE DINNER PARTY CONVERSATION WITH COMMENTS LIKE WHAT"?

I admit this was very difficult so it's no wonder I didn't get any answers (:(), anyway here's the correct answer and it's a good clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQqITpxOSY8

:D

I know I shouldn't do this, but I really can't be bothered to do a missing words round this time, but I PROMISE it will be back next time after this brief hiatus!

.................................

Just before I go, what show is this person from?

(A bit obvious considering what I said earlier in the blog :P). Answers please :D

Last blog's person was Hank Hill (played by Mike Judge) from King Of The Hill! Kudos go out to Jeaninne and Mrs. Fleeshman! :D

That's it for this blog and please remember I am not a freak, despite what you may now think!

Tom. :)

.................................

Ah yes, one last thing (that's what the cops always say),

Check in Mary (angelsxo) who is recently going through some trouble, and Jon (vendbien) who is also in some pain. Give them a message and some support.

I STILL don't live in the real world, and neither should you!

TUNE OF THE DAY

...And we spin the "Count Chocula Wheel of Music", which lands on...

Paul Weller: 22 Dreams

This is Paul Weller's latest single and, while it's different to his other work, it's quite good. Let me know what you think. ;)

.................................

You may recall a few blogs back me moaning about the weather. Well unfortunatley, it hasn't got any better :(, in fact (apart from Friday), it's actually got worse! To combine with the rain, we now have to cope with wind! A tree opposite us is leaning over at a precarious angle, looks like it's gonna go any moment now :?

Therefore, when I read blogs like, oh I don't know, this one (!), I get a tad bitter :P Sorry Jeaninne!

.................................

The other day I set up an account on Last.FM, which is a pretty cool site. It's got a load of free music on there which you can listen to, and on your profile page yuo get a representation of your music taste, along with nice charts! Cool!

Check out my profile here: http://www.last.fm/user/TheJamFan2/, and if you have an account let me know! And if you don't, then you should get one! :)

.................................

Now, you're probably wondering what the deal with the blog title is. Well first, let me direct your attention to this old blog from March...

LINK

I'm still completely against reality TV (or as Jordon from Studio 60 called it, "illiterate TV"), so imagine my dismay at this news article:

LINK

Considering ITV is one of the "big 3" UK broadcasters, this is terrible news!

Staying on the same topic, the dreaded Big Brother is back in town , why Channel 4 still bothers to produce this "social experiment" is completely beyond me, it's almost guarrented that each season one contestant (who's is usually sporting minimal clothing, large hoop earings and a **** of goodness knows what) will call another contestant (see previous un PC rant) a "lying wh0re" or some racist comment and the country will go up in arms and demand the show to be pulled! But will it? Oh no!

And to make matters worse, the schedules are almost filled to breaking point with it! A quick search on Radio Times revealed all these installments of Big Brother and it's related spin offs:

LINK (there's a lot of these in this blog!)

There's 135 shows in a two week block!

135!

How this is possible is beyond me. That is why I propose...

WAR

That's, er, War Against Reality... the acronym was pretty handy though!

.................................

That's enought reality trash for one blog, time to talk about some "literate" TV! Last week ITV started rerunning the Stephen Fry drama "Kingdom" from the very start. I've never seen this before, but I'm a big fan of his and it looks interesting so I gave it a try. And it is great! Yuo've got to take it a bit tounge in cheek but it's got a great storyline and likeable characters.

Oh yeah, and the main character's solicitor's office is almost identical to the one I conducted my work experience in!

(Kingdom, Tuesdays 10:35pm, ITV1)

.................................

Back To You's on tonight! The first episode was mediocore, but I really enjoyed the previous one. Unfortunately, when I watch it, it just makes me long for new Frasier episodes :(

(Back To You, Wednesdays 9:30pm, More4)

.................................

Right, taking a quick break from writing this blog right now as it's 12:40pm which means it's time for my daily appointment with Dr. House on Channel Five! Today: episode 6, "The Socratic Method". I shall conclude writing in 1 hour!

(House, Weekdays 12:45pm, Channel Five)

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock

I'm back! Another great episode from Limpie!

"I have a cane and I know how to use it!"

.................................

Right, time for the missing words section of the blog! Last time, I posted up the incredibly difficult:

"DR. THORSTEIN OLAFSSON DEMONSTRATES WHAT"?

I realise this was hard, but I did get back 2 very good answers:

Jon: "DR. THORSTEIN OLAFSSON DEMONSTRATES HOW TO HAVE A BIT OF THE OLD IN-OUT WITH A SHEEP"!

(freakin' hilarious from Jon!)

Jen: "DR. THORSTEIN OLAFSSON DEMONSTRATES AUTHENTIC ICELAND BREEDING RITUALS WITH HIS SHEEP"!

(not bad, not bad... OK, this one was hard!)

Anyway, here's the correct answer:

(pauses writing yet again to go and encode video... )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIAoQocRMKY

Not the funniest clip in the world, I know!

Anyway, this week I leave you with one that's a little more open to interpretation:

"COLLECTORS OF EXPIRED TAX DISCS CAN ADD TO THE DINNER PARTY CONVERSATION WITH COMMENTS LIKE WHAT"?

So, what can they add dinner party conversation with? Get your answers to me and remember the aim is to get the answer wrong, but in the funniest possible way.

.................................

Right, this blog has taken an insanely long time to write (and known my luck it probably won't post now either!), so there's just time for guess the person! As usual, what show is this person from?

Answers please :D

That's enought writing for me now, so until later,

Tom. :)

Tee dee hee dee hee, Sir

TUNE OF THE DAY

Bertie Wooster & Mr. Jeeves: Minnie The Moocher

Not exactly a piece of music I know, but I've been enjoying reading Jeeves & Wooster lately, so here's a cla$$ic music clip from the TV series.

"Tee dee hee dee hee, Sir".

.................................

I don't know how I've managed to do it, but somehow I've pulled a muscle in my chest! For that matter I'm not sure when I did it either (might get Jim Rockford on the case), all I know is that I keep getting a horrible ache on the far right side of my chest whenever I breath... so about every second then! If it isn't better by Monday I'll be paying the doc's a visit.

To make matters worse, this morning when I was having my morning cycle (2 miles, try not to drop below 10mph), I caught my hand on a plant or something that was on the inside of the lane. I got a sharp stinging sensation and now my left hand is covered in red blobs and is starting to swell up like a Christmas goose!

Therefore, I think it's safe to say: WOE IS ME! :(

.................................

On a brighter note (pun intended... you'll see), today is the first day of sun since I've finished! So, all together now:

The sun has got his hat on, hip-hip-hip-hooray
The sun has got his hat on and he's coming out today
Now we'll all be happy, hip-hip-hip-hooray
The sun has got his hat on and he's coming out today
(never knew the Sun swung that way ;))

.................................

I've been going overboard with submitting and reviewing lately: so much so I've gone from level 24 to level 28 in 2 days! I know Lin, LMH68, must be sick of me as the vast majority of guides have been her's! Anyway, here's a quick run through of the embelms that have been and gone:

I've also managed to hit the 1,000 contributions mark gaining me this:

Right, enough gloating from me now :D

.................................

Channel Five is currently rerunning "House" from the very beginning, every day at 12:45pm! I'm only up to the end of season 2 with the show, and I've only seen the earlier episodes once before, so my lunchtime appointment is right there!

Yesterday, my favourite ever episode (so far ) was on: Paternity. I reviewed it afterwards so feel free to read . It's the episode that features a great scene at the end with Hugh Laurie looking out over a lacrosse field holding his cane, played to "Saturday Afternoons In 1963". It was a great scene.

Saturday Afternoons In 1963

(This is a great song on its own as well, by the way).

.................................

Right, time for the "missing words" round! Previously, I posted this up:

"I MADE MRS. THATCHER WHAT SAYS NIGEL"

Two answers came back to me and they were both equally brilliant! Check 'em out:

Jon: "I MADE MRS. THATCHER IN THE ALLEY BEHIND 10 DOWNING STREET SAYS NIGEL"

(well, they did call here the "Iron Lady")

Jen: "I MADE MRS. THATCHER IN THE CONSERVATORY WITH THE CANDLESTICK SAYS NIGEL"

(you'd be my history teacher's favourite person if he heard you say that )

Both great answers . Here's the real answer and the HIGNFY versions (trust me, it's a good one!):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXJwZu7t3t4

"DR. THORSTEIN OLAFSSON DEMONSTRATES WHAT"?

Also, I feel I should tell you that this comes from THE ICELANDIC SHEEP BREEDERS OF NORTH AMERICA NEWSLETTER! Well, it's about time we had a harder one! As usual, get your answers to me and remember the aim is to get the answer wrong, but in the funniest possible way!

.................................

Well, that's it for this blog so as usual, what show is this person from?

Last blog's person was Sarah Lancaster from "Chuck", kudos go out to David (efc91) and, I guess Lin for pointing out a fatal flaw in the system !

Answers please

That's all folks,

Tom. :)

Look over there... *yoink* (and I steal the quiz!) *EDIT*

EDIT:

lequericacalvo is currently going through a very tough time, so please copy and paste this information onto the bottom (or top) of you blogs:

TUNE OF THE DAY

Sara Bareilles: Love Song

She is completely unlike any other music I listen to, but I think she's great! This is one of Sara's more famous hits, "Love Song".

.................................

I've been finished for 4 days now and I have yet to see a little but of sunshine: it's been raining every freakin' day! And supposedly it's going to continue as well... :(

.................................

Like a bad cold, there's a fun Google quiz going around at the moment. And thanks to no one in particular, I've caught it! *atchoo* The idea is that you type your name followed by a phrase into Google and see what comes up... doesn't make any sense? Do I ever? Just wait and see:

(oh yeah, this was Stolen from Una (*yoink*), and I can't be bothered to change the formatting, so consider this a little clip from a different blog! Like when one of your favourite shows can't be bothered to produce an episode and so spews out a clip show instead: loust cotton pickin' bast... wait, I've gone off on a tangent :D)

1: Type in [your name] - Tom needs in the Google search:

Tom Needs to Worry More About Staying Out of the Big House than Staying in the House of Representatives - It's very true, I do...

2: Type in [your name] - Tom looks like in Google seach:
Tom looks like he's going to molest Jen
-, let me apologist in advance Jen!

Tom looks like a militant terrosit - :D

Tom looks like Richard Gere - I bl*ody well hope not!

3: Type in [your name] - Tom does in Google search:
Tom does not wait
- I am impatient...

Tom does Mitt - Ahhhhh, Mitt Romney! My eyes, my eyes!

4: Type in [your name] - Tom hates in Google search:
Tom hates his job
- Well, it's currently non-existant, so...

Tom hates the environment - Stupid Greenpeace...

5: Type in [your name] - Una goes in Google search:
Tom goes to the mayor
- And...?

Tom goes kiteboarding - That's more like it! :D

Tom goes off his headcase - Read the bit in brackets above this quiz, and I think that proves this!

6: Type in [your name] - Tom loves in Google search:
Tom loves Drew
- Please not Drew Carey :?

Tom loves you - You do love good!

Tom loves Bush - Holy f**k! My eyes, my eyes!

7: Type in [your name] - Tom eats in Google search:
"Tom eats an apple," "Tom eats the apple," "If Tom were not full, he would eat the apple," and "Will Tom eat an apple?"
- Where's a philosephor when you need one?

8: Type in [your name] - Tom has in Google search:
Tom has a room to rent in London
- £350 per month, unfurnished, have to share with family of rats, otherwise in good condition, enquire inside

9: Type in [your name] - Tom died in Google search:
What will Bob do if Tom died?

10: Type in [your name] - Tom won't in Google Search:
My Tom Tom won't turn on
- :D :D :D 11:

Type in [your name] - Una can't in Google Search:
Tom can't sing

So there you go, you now know that I'm an American politician that is also a perveted terroist who looks oddly similar to Richard Gere who can't wait to, *shudder*, do Mitt Romney while complaining about his job and leaving the car on 24/7 while visiting the mayor on a kiteboard, and is a little bit nutty, who loves Drew, you and has a thing for Mr. Bush, I also get confused over apples, am renting a room to Bob who can't "turn me on" (there's a helluva lot of gay references in here!) and cannot sing at the same time! *long breath*

.................................

I've become the editor for another show! I'm not the proud editor of the cla$$ic Children's series "The Wombles"!, check it out below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKQpLA4QL-w

.................................

Daria recently convinced me to watch Bones and, after much deliberation, I decided to check it out. And I'm really glad I did! I'm only a few episodes in, but this show just keeps getting better and better! They're are quite a few cliches but if you can get past them you get a really great show. And of couse Emily Deschanel is pretty damn hot! (sorry for that, couldn't help it :D)

.................................

Right, I think it's time to return the "missing words round"! After a brief absence last week, I now give you this headline:

"I MADE MRS. THATCHER WHAT SAYS NIGEL"

Now that's just asking for it! Give me your funny answers in the comments and remember the aim is to get the answer wrong, but in the funniest possible way (scroll down for previous blogs for a better explanation if you're new to all this!)

.................................

Right, I think that's it for this blog, but as usual, what show is this person from?

So, answers please :D! Last blog's person was Christopher Gorham from Jake 2.0 (and "Out Of Practice", "Ugly Betty" and others). Congrats go out to SweetPeaSurrey and Lin who both guessed correctly! :D

So, until next,

Tom. :)

I've done 71 out of 132 stupid things (and still counting...)

Once again, the formatting of this blog has just gone topot (some Cumbrian dialect!), so I apologise if it's hard to read! It seems the TV.Com poltergiests just don't like me at the moment :(

(damn, Dan just "beat" me!)

So there you are, I did "better" than what I thought but since I'm always trying to better myself, I want to be at at least 100 by September!

.................................

So, now I've finished school I'm almost lierally over the moon! The original plan for tonight was to have a blow out party (and possibly up my score to 72 due to throwing up) but then we all realized we are insanely shattered! So instead, it's a night of sleep! Woo! Tomorrow I'm taking the full day off and just compeltely relaxing: watching TV (incl. starting on Bones), reading my new Bond book and occasionally having a wander outside to kick the cat!

.................................

I caught the season premire of "Back To You" on More4 last night and, while it wasn't brilliant, it does show potential. I'll keep watching as a friend of mine's already seen the series and says it really picks up after episode 3. And did anyone see Grammer's terrible toupee at the begininning?

.................................

And now, you know what time it is! It's the missing words round! Previously I posted this up:

"600 FROZEN SHEEP WHAT"?

Like usual I got a load of brilliant answers, check 'em out:

Jon: "600 FROZEN SHEEP AUCTIONED OFF TO LOCAL POPSICLE DISTRIBUTER"!

(this really made me laugh when I heard it!)

Phin: "600 FROZEN SHEEP LOLLIES"!

(mmm... frozen sheep... *drools*)

Jenn: "600 FROZEN SHEEP GET A BAHHD CASE OF FROSTBITE"!

(:D I'm sure they would!)

Now, I need to go off and extract the "missing words" from the HIGNFY episode and upload it! So, I'll be back in five minutes!

(TICK... TOCK... TICK... TOCK... TICK... TOCK...)

Right, I'm back and the clip is uploaded! However, let me apologise for the terrible video quality it has, I'm not sure why it's gone so bad. Anyway, here's the correct answer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewwsxBgyb74

So, there you go! There's no "Missing Words" round this week as, to be honest, I can't be bothered to it and this blog is already long enough! However, it'll make a welcome return next time!

.................................

One last thing, what show is this person from:

(bit harder this week!) Answers please :D

Last blog's person was Dilshad Vadsaria from Greek!

So, until next time,

Tom. :)

"I may not look like a Murphy but I act like a Murphy!"

As usual, which Seinfeld episode is blog title quote from?

Last blog's title was taken from "The Outing" and was famously said by the "Lord of the Idiots" (no, not me!), George Constanza. Well done to Jenn for getting the correct answer!

TUNE OF THE DAY

Harvey Danger: Flagpole Sitta

You know the drill: open, listen and possibly watch! Also, this is a great Arrested Development tribute!

.................................

You may recall a few blogs back that I was moaning over the fact a family housemartins have decied to nest just above my bedroom window. *screen goes wavy, mystical music, "wooooo... woooooo... woooooo..."

"These f*****g housesparrows! Right outside my window a strangely large family of them has decided to nest and every f*****g morning at 5 of the f*****g am they are there tweeting and what not! It's really trying my f*****g patience now: I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks!"

As you can see, I was in a particularly happy mood! Well, admist the bird plop plop, the inane "twittering" and the many thuds I get when one of the little blighters misjudges when to fly up, I've gradually become quite attached to the little fellas . Anyway, the nest also happens to be directly on top of our burglar alarm (a great selling point in the bird real estate market) and today, like a bat out of hell , it went off! The birds went crazy, starting s******g everywhere and were frantically attempting to get to the nest (I suspect some eggs may have been in there). I suspect now the unhatched birds may have died as the "mothers" don't seem to be hanging around any more. :(

.................................

Last night's episode of "The Office" was one of the best I've seen in a long time! I'm a helluva long way behind the US, so I think next season I shall have to "aquire" my Office fix another way ;). The episode was one where Michael, Toby and Darryl travel to coperate to ask for a raise and Michael discovers he's wearing a ladies suit. Hence the great line:

"I accidently cross dressed today!"

.................................

Speaking of last night, Shark had another great outing! "In The Crosshairs" followed a similar storyline to my favourite Numb3rs episode (sniper... IN THE CITY!) so I had a bit of a sense of deja vu. It's a great shame this show has gone to the big TV graveyard in the sky as it was (and still is) a great show.

.................................

Did anyone take my advice and check "Damages" out last night on the Hallmark channel? Didn't think so! Well, you're lucky that I apparently cannot read as the series does not premire until the 6th JULY, so you've got plenty of time to remember to see it! But seriously, fire the DVR up for this one!

.................................

And now, I think you know what time it is for: the missing words round! Previously I posted up this:

"STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT WHAT"?

I got a plethora of great answers this week, check 'em out:

Jenn: "STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT WAY TO CAUSE ROAD RAGE!"

(Contrary to what she thinks I think this really funny, I'm not just saying it! Kinda reminds me of the scene from the old monorail episode of The Simpsons!)

Jon: "STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT WAY TO GET A HERNIA!"

(It certainly is!)

Mary: "STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT WAY TO GET MANHOLE COVERS!"

(Once again, it certainly is! You can't really argue with the logic of that!)

Lisa: "STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT ICE BREAKER!"

(Ah, we have an ice sculpter in out midsts! The very tricks of the trade!)

Phin: "STEALING MANHOLE COVERS IS A GREAT CONTRACEPTIVE / APHRODISIAC!"

(I think an explaination is in order from Phin herself:

"I'm hesitating between two Contraceptive (I mean your arms are so tired after lifting one, you don't feel like having sex at all) or Aphrodisiac (ummm, completely the opposite and it can be murder on the teeth, but it works )."

So, there you go!)

As you can see I got some great, brilliant, amazing, fantastic, hilarious brilliant (wait, I've already used that one) answers this week! Please keep them coming! But first, let's see what the correct answer is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHGN2rA24R0

This blog's "missing words competition" is the following:

"600 FROZEN SHEEP WHAT"?

Fill in the blank, let me know and answers next time. And remember, the aim is to get the answer wrong but in the funniest possible way!

................................

One last thing: what show is this person from? And Jon insisted that this week it was a "lickable" girl (his words, not mine! :P)

Answers please

Last blog's person was Samantha Bee from The Daily Show!

I'll blog again on Thursday when I'm officially free from exams and school (just guess what'll be the "tune of the day"!) so until then, I bid you adieu,

Tom.
