[QUOTE=Tropictrain] Removing guns from COD could be interesting. Heck, they added zombies to it, which I find even stranger. lol But the point you bring up is the exact reason developers are afraid to change a series. To you, exploration is the hallmark of a Final Fantasy. And they took that out, and now you're upset. But what if a developer changes something in COD that someone felt was crucial to the game? They'd risk losing fans. When Wind Waker was first announced, just the graphics alone caused an outcry. And then there was the fact it was on the ocean and you're in a boat. Searching these forums, I'm constantly seeing gamers want this series and that to return to its roots because they don't like what they did to the series. So I don't blame companies for being afraid to change something.
I would just like to see COD mix it up some even if it were as much as adding explodable enviornements similar to what BF bad company has little improvements liek that.It doesnt have to be game changing major things but most any fan of a FPS would enjoy such little things like that i do very much like and support the new customiztion that black Ops has brought but still the gameplay itself suffers from the little annoyances that have been around for a long time and have not been addressed. Also with the COD campaigns and how they are so short if companies are affraid to change things in multiplayer they should at least beef up there campains 6-8 hours to finish the campaign is weak however u look at it.
with a campaign that short what motivates any gamer that doesnt play on xbox live to buy such a title , To beef up there campaigns and add depth would surely be a win win scenario as there are gamers out there who dont play multiplayer but still enjoy gaming when single player brings things to the table with some replayability.
