[QUOTE="trust_nobody"]I fail to see the "embarrassment" here. And let's say TC does go to the school board andtattles "Mr. Teacher saidin front of everybody that I looked like I was taking a crap while isolating my leg muscles in phys ed because I was hunched over." What do you think would happen then?SolidSnake35I don't think the point is that he needs to do anything about it but he's still well within his right to feel aggrieved if he wants to. You're creating arguements oout of thin air. No one said he didn't have a right to feel bad, we're saying that he shouldn't beceause it's not a big deal. There's a differance between what you can (has ther right...) and should (not feel bad...) do.

[QUOTE="cpo335"][QUOTE="SolidSnake35"] His friends.SolidSnake35So you have a group of ***** and when they all complain, who's going to care? Not a damn soul. Who, what, when, where? I have a best friend that I complain to and vice versa. Just because most people don't care doesn't mean he should lose all sensitivity. What the hell are you even talking about. When did I say he should lose all sensitivity? He should grow thicker skin.

It's not Sensitivity, IT would put the Teacher in his place (IF anything happened to him...). Teachers like that have a God Complex and need to taken down.
It IS sensitivity, and ***** like him don't survive in the real world. What happens when he's waiting in line at a very crowded Starbucks in the morning and someone cuts him, do you think anyone will care? What about if someone cracks a joke about him in the workplace for whatever reason, no one will care. How about if he's about to call a cab and it stops for him, but someone else gets in quickly and they take him, do you think anyone's going to want to listen to his pathetic cries and complaints?Okay...Those are all situations when he's an Adult and out of Middle School. None of those scenarios embarrass you in front of peers. You can only get help if you tell others your problems.
So what if they're doing a group exercise and they have to publically critique each others work? Now one student might be particularly critical and hurt his feelings, now what? What if it's recess and they're playing football and he gets picked last (and maybe someone tells him it's because he sucks at football), who's going to care? If he tells a teacher, the worst that will happen is a slap on the wrist, the culprit will be told to stop because no one gives a ****.[QUOTE="cpo335"]Wow, Jack Bauer stopping an assassination at a peace conferance... how original.Genetic_CodeI will admit that it's not original. Hopefully, the plot itself is not the only cliche that it delivers, but I do expect that there will be some formulaic storylines that will play out. After they killed *SPOILERS OMG SPPILERS SPOILERSO MG* curtis *END SPOILERS OMG YES ENDING SPOILERS* I stopped watching.

That would annoy me to no extent if a Teacher said that to me. I'd report him, they're not supposed say stuff like that to students.
If you promote this kid of sensitivity, then how do you think he'll be able to deal with the real world when no one gives a **** about your feelings or any of that? It's not Sensitivity, IT would put the Teacher in his place (IF anything happened to him...).
