[QUOTE="Penguin_dragon"]I like to play a similar game where instead of people buying what they land on, everyone gets an equal part of the board and no one is allowed to have more money than anyone else.binpink
Yep it was a common joke among the soldiers and Marines that it was manufactured by Mattel because of its mostly plastic makeup.

lol And did you see the "comic book" manual that came with it and instructed the soldiers how to actually clean the weapon (because the gov't claimed it was so good that it never had to be cleaned)? The M16 is AWFUL with jamming problems. It's not bad as long as you actually do maintenance on it, but take it out to the field, and it will most likely jam on you at least once. Not a bad weapon, but it has it's fair share of problems. It is somewhat long, but you can put a collapsable buttstock on it. Or you can just use an M4, which comes with that to begin with. I don;t like how it has a forward assist button. I shouldn't have to smash the bolt into place and make sure it's locked in, it should do it on it's own. Anyways, does anyone know anything about the G36c? Now that's a weapon that I would like to learn about. Is it like, the German equivalent to the M4?

The first varient ever looked like a toy... hell, it practically was a toy. It was all plastic and metal. Cheaply made because they wanted to issue a new assault rifle on a massive scale as a repalcement to the M14.

Maybe the designer had to make up for his own sense of "smallness"

you do realize that the US probably only replace it with a US made weapon.
No they won't. Delta and DEVGRU already use the HK416 (a German made weapon). Regular service members might get an American made weapon, but only because it's cheaper to get. Special Forces and others will get a selection of foriegn and domestic weapons.
i meant for standard troops.
Regular troops do have access to an M4 now, but the Army is looking for a replacement.
