@S0loMANgrundy I've seen no mention of this being a 'timed exclusive' that just seems to be the general fanboy comment which is being thrown around.
This game isn't likely to come out on another other platform except PC as Microsoft are publishing the game, and I can't see them allowing Sony to get hold of one of their main exclusives. People are already favouring the PS4 over the X1, Microsoft won't want to give them another reason to jump on the Sony boat.
@Gamerhomer @A_Rabid_Dog @RossRichard @Sevenizz @BadMrSnake 4 dead and yet you kept going back for more, says something about how good gaming on the 360 must be ^^
@SolanOcard I do agree with what you've said and I'm not saying games shouldn't have the save feature but just that they should make it more like Final Fantasy where you had to get to a save point rather than just save every 5 minutes no matter how far you've progressed.
Touching on something else you said, I was always told that cheats were originally never really meant for the gamers, maybe later on they were but originally they were a way for the developer to navigate round the game easily whilst testing. They weren't meant for or intended to be an easy play through for the gamer, if this was the case they would have printed them in the manuals. The only reason cheats have kinda disappeared in recent years is because they **** up the whole achievement/trophy system.
The ability to save your game was what made games a lot easier. Think of Sonic 2 compared to Sonic 3. You had to get through Sonic 2 in one play through and complete the last bosses with no rings, you had to play cautiously as game over literally meant game over!
Sonic 3 introduced the save system and when you got game over you just loaded up your previous game and start off on the level you died on. You not longer had to play cautiously as you knew you had your save file to fall back on. I know I do this when playing games like GOW, COD, Halo, etc.. Progress to me is getting to the next checkpoint as I know I can quit and pick up from that point whenever I want.
To me the hardest game I ever remember playing was Fantasy World Dizzy on the ZX Spectrum. No save, no map, no real idea what the hell you were doing and once you completed it you get told to re-explore the map for coins to buy a house. That game nearly drove me insane and I'm surprised my Spectrum survived some of the rage fits I had whilst playing it.
@LegionsAssassin That's my biggest concern about the way the gaming industry is going, as much as I love COD and do enjoy playing it, I wouldn't want to walk into a game store and see that pretty much every game on the shelf is either COD or a COD knock off
I agree with all the comments about how it could've been better but you've got to give it to them for trying something a bit different. If it weren't for companies like these all we'd have is thousands of games like COD.
@TroubleMaker411 Yeah I remember MS making the announcement but I presumed the exclusivity was limited to Black Ops as the Modern Warfare games are made by different companies
