I'm really getting tired of seeing Sims games taking charts. People need to buy more Pc games other than the ones witht he name Warcraft or Sims. I'm also surprised to see Halo: Combat Evovlved on the list. I thought the game was old enough and hated by PC gamers to be on the list.

I'm glad you guys appreciate this thread so much, I really love GameSpot and think they're doing a superb job but not having a shoot em up catagory is really hard to accept, is the old school shooter not a genre? Come on GameSpot we need you to give us a shooter catagory so we can find great games like the ones recommended above(aside from fear and cod2), shoot em ups are a genre and should be treated like one by GameSpot. Anyway thanks for all of the great titles to those of you that read my post, I cant wait to play all of these!!!! :) :)childe_roland

 i think its because there are to few those games to create a seperate category and 

because most of em are 10-15 years old (thats why you also call them retro shooters)

fot pc there are alien shooter,shadowgrounds and raptor and if you really into retro shooters 

get yourself an amiga or c64 lol 

RE4 is already out for pc (i think in Europe and Asia only) but the port is horrible, no mouse

support and graphics look like from a 1996 game

Two days ago came a patch for the european version which should fix most of the graphics issues

but dont know anything bout it 

among noticable candidates - NWN2, Titan Quest, Silverfall, and Oblivion (Gothic 3 I haven't touched), I'd say, the best RPG 2006-07 is "N/A."

personally I enjoy NWN2 the most, but it's more because of my dnd nostalghia rather than of its quality.

Actually the D&D rules are the only thing which saves this game from being absolute crap 

thx, i already know shadowgrounds and its a great game but it would be better with rpg elements

like character advancement imo

i enjoyed this game very much and wanted to know if there are more game similar to this

means retro like shooters

 imo 6.7 for dmomm is the right score the game is ok but not great and 6.7 means "ok"

most fun i had lately with a game was Alien Shooter Vengeance ,i know 7.6 is not really low rated

but the game is not that popular i believe. my score would be 8.8. its kinf of diablo with guns and rocket launchers
