I don't get what the point of a Call of Duty movie would be. The Call of Duty games were never known for their stories. It was all about the gameplay. Their stories were just generic war stories.

How would the movie be any different than all of the other war movies ever made? What would make it different? What would make it stand out? There's no point to it. It's the same reason a GTA movie would suck. A GTA movie would simply be about a guy (or guys) doing criminal stuff. It'd be no different than any other crime movies.
