What is so buggy about the DLC's currently out that they are unplayable? I've done all the DLCs twice over already and I haven't encountered any bugs I'd consider experience-breaking. In fact, if there were any, I didn't notice them.

A dlc was promised for the holiday season but as not shown up yet. there is over 100 pages of questions on a single thread about the dlc that was announced and no one form EA or bioware has come in an answered the most basic question.... is it or is it not coming out has promised....XIntoTheBlue

Anybody with common sense should know to take release dates with a grain of salt. And if you are complaining about this, you are far too impatient. There are things more iimportant in life than to rant about a developer not releasing something on the date that was projected. Sheesh, release dates are estimates, assuming no road blocks are hit, not something set in stone by the God. Only thing I don't like was when BioWare sold its soul to EA.

Why does that bother you or anyone? It brought about a great game called Dragon Age, which you seem to be impressed by. Next month this "unholy" alliance will bring forth Mass Effect 2, which is another great product provided you are a fan of the series. Anyway, I just don't get the EA bashing when clearly they produce some stellar titles. I'm not pulling you out of the crowd but just commenting on this stigma that EA=BAD.

To the TC, I've played DA and haven't encountered any bugs or glitches in DLC or the vanilla game. I suggest you place faith in Bioware andjust go buy the game and see for yourself.

yea it is highly improbable. just like all the other stuff that goes on in videogames...and this one is essentially based on comic book characters where people can fly and take beatings without a scratch on them. great game though.

Rebellion were not the original developers. It was some other company which did not do a good job. Rebellion was drafted by Bethesda to simply finish the game off and make it "sellable".

All I have to say is "WHAT THE **** The story had more holes in it than the bad guys I was pumping full of lead.

This guy who I am supposed to hate through the airport level is not even in the game. I don't see or hear anything from him until the very end. Also why did the general do what he did..the (i watched soldiers die" thing just doesn't cut it. In fact, I don't even know what he did. I get that Makarov instigated the war bbut there is little else going on.Moreover, why was Price in the gulag? How did the Russians get the ACS? How did they manage to attack the USA so easily? Why am I going from one place to another without any continuity or explanation for my actions?

Infinity Ward really did suck ass on this singleplayer. It was short but not sweet. COd4 was way better in its pacing. This one just feels so disjointed that the "story" is just cellotape holding together a weak game. No way, no how should this be a 9/8.5. I think it deserves a7 at best since the only thing it has going for it is the multiplayer.

Baranga

Makarov is like the Emperor in Star Wars - everything happens because of him. I don't see what's the problem here.

The general went nuts. He wanted revenge on the Russians - they made the man who killed his troops a hero, and he wanted revenge on his superiors which didn't follow his advice 5 years earlier. I'm sure he helped the Russians get the ACS somehow, and he tipped off Makarov about Allen. Then he must kill Makarov and TF141, or else his plan may be revealed.

The ACS module contains the codes to the US sattelite and defense system, that's why the Russians invade so easily. The Americans couldn't change the codes fast enough, they didn't even realise the module was cracked actually.

Price was heavily wounded at the end of COD4, he was in a worse condition than Soap. So Soap came home earlier, and the ultranationalists managed to get their hands on Price. The end of COD4 mentions a fight for power in the party; it's implied that Soap left Russia before the struggle was over.

There are enough reasons for the mission settings in the cutscenes.

I'm glad they weren't explaining everything. It's not so hard to think about it and draw your own conclusions.

i'd spend time drawing conclusions if the game was worth it. sadly it wasn't. thanks for the clarification though. however a fleshed out story provides a more engaging experience for me. i'm not saying i need to be told every little thing, but MW2 was just all over the place.

Bioware must have made a deal with the devil because nothing can be this good without being sinful.

[QUOTE="rb2610"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"]

GTA4 is different.

In GTA your objective ISN'T to run over innocents, but to accomplish the mission. The game give you the liberty to do these other things, but they are NEVER the objective.

In that MW2 level, the objective IS TO KILL INNOCENTS for the hell of it....so it's wrong.

Saying that, I ain't defending GTA, it IS a very violent game....just making the difference.

FelipeInside

Surely that means GTA is worse though in a way, because players are going on killing rampages of their own free will, that mean's we are obviously all mass murdering psychopaths...

No, players can CHOOSE to go on a killing rampage....or just follow the mission. Like the Matrix says, it's all about CHOICE.

That airport level doesn't let you choose.... you kill innocents, you pass the level....you kill the terrorists, game over.

it does let you choose. you can choose to do the mission or not. also it's no different from any GTA mission where you have to kill cops to get away. or run over someone with your car and not give a **** you're still killing innocents. GTA's main aim may not be to kill innocents but it is part and parcel of that game.

As soon as theyadvertised it as"The decade's most anticipated game" I just knew that the game is not really offering anything new and it is relying heavily on marketing. I'm sure Starcraft 2, Warcraft 4, Deus Ex 3, Half Life Ep 3...just to name a few are more anticipated. Clearly the consoles have no pedigree. I'll still play it but I just want it to be known that this game is just hype. Dragon Age on the other hand is just pure perfection.
