I don't get what everyones arguing about here..

This game takes place in the middle of god know's where Africa, doesn't it? Not Johannasburg, Cape Town, or any of the big diverse South African cities. If you were to take some dirt road out to a little remote town somewhere in Africa I guarantee you wouldn't find a single white, asian, or hispanic person living there. So why is everyone getting upset that he's killing blacks? I mean, wouldn't there be only blacks to kill, given the setting? And anyone who says "It's not just blacks living in Africa, you know" is right. But most of the whites and other ehtnic groups you'll find in Africa are going to be in a big city, probably in South Africa. Not in some dirty Kenyan slum without running water or power.

People need to relax. I'm sure capcom wasn't trying to promote genocide or anything. Sticking whites and asians in with the hordes of native black african's was a poor choice in my opinion, and takes away from the setting.Samox

Gameplay wise it is just about the same as Resident Evil 4 which was probably my favorite game ever. (one of them) It really has made me want to go back and play Resident Evil 4 before the new one comes out..It is a beautiful game that is very fun to play. A nice change of pace for sure.

Some negatives would be just the whole "political correct" issue that I won't bring up in this thread and will not respond to anyone who quotes me on it in here and I also feel there is a lack of gore. When you shoot the enemies in the face I was hoping for some rag doll physics or something that made me feel powerful..it just didn't seem gory or satisfying enough..

Graphically speaking it was probably the best I've seen..utterly beautiful like when I layed eyes on the first..

Storyline I can't speak to but I'm hoping for some good action and not too much "cheese" to finish the story..

Item system: I don't really have an opinion on having to not mix plants to make potions anymore..I don't really see why the drop as plants though..anyways its cool either way

I don't know what the money is spent on so I'm intrigued..

All in all though it was very fun..I'll be buying this one. After years of anticipation the beast is almost here :)

Blame black americans who believe that everything in which is black man losses is racist. Note I said blame the ones who believe that, I'm black but I'm not american, and some of them sicken me with thier crusades at times. Alot are warrented, but there are those few that aren't. Its not fair to say that a game with crazy white spaniards trying to attack you is going to change your assumption less than a game with crazy black african people in it. The only reason it would be more severe either way is because you are racist yourself.

Also... someone who is actually familiar with the story of RE5 want to throw us a bone on what area this is located in? We really need to know that to pin point the racial make up of the area.

Yes I do. This is supposed to be an African Slum though which for the most part is Blacks especially since it resembles a Kenyan slum. The original version of the game had only blacks too, but has since been modified to fit in with our politically correct environment. Instead of adding a few white guys in, they added asians, italians, and other races too that were completely unnecessary.

In Kenya? Well I hate to burst your bubble but the original game had only blacks in it before they got complaints from the media. The complaints weren't about the game not being realistic to the ethnic ratios but to it being too racist for a white guy mowing down blacks. The original game represented what they saw when they were studing the actual cities of Africa that they wanted to base their game setting off of which were primarily black/all black

I've already stated this multiple times but people are too lazy to read. I don't care that there is white people in the game, my main problem with the game is that they went way overboard by having every single race accounted for and just having some out of place character models.. From going to a game with all blacks to have no mob without a white in it just seems like a ridiculous attempt at political correctness.
