Orange box..you get Halflife 2 and parts 1+2, portal, peggle, and team fortress 2..these are some of the best titles on the market...Especially if you are new to Team Fortress 2 anyone of any skill level can enjoy this brilliant game
[QUOTE="qwertyu"] yeah, I agree completely, the music and the graphics were TOTALLY different than anything ever made at that time, remember back on diablo 1, seeing the BUTCHER and the SKELETON king, those were scary, now in 3d who gives a damn, its just some halloween toyGodLovesDead
Except Diablo 2 was about as bright as a mardi gras celebration. Did you forgot the entire act 2 of Diablo and the neon bright desert? Or the screenshot i posted that looked like christmas. Diablo 2's a pretty bright game overall especially once the effects start going on.
I disagree. Diablo 2 managed to make a freaking desert feel like a dark place to be. Especially once the darkness quest has taken effect. And the spell effects in Diablo are obviously colorful - and you just happen to pick a screenshot that has has a few effects going on at the same time. It's not as if the blues are or greens are even vibrant - they still retain a darker tone of those colors. I'm going to try not to whine, but I think Blizzard could have done better than giving it a "top-down WoW" approach and call it a day.
I personally think that we should play the game and then see if it still has the diablo type feel of the past..haters may be surprised and possibly people who like it as of now too
I think it looks more like a painting rather than wow..it looks beautiful...if you watch gameplay videos such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNPGWjx3Y0c it looks great and unlike wow
when I talked to one of the programmers at PAX he said they were still in the planning stages but he said about Portal 2 that it was going to be much different so we may actually be seeing portal 2 first because he had a much better idea about what that game was going to be like..he also said that they probably weren't going to kill off gordon but it wasn't decided..it was pretty interesting..he had also worked on left 4 dead so it was cool to talk to him
Bear in mind though that DIablo games have never been system heavy. Blizzard always like to milk the online component so even dudes playing from a trailer park can partake, which if u recall is going to be the case with Starcraft 2 when it launches. Im betting just a vertex and pixel shader 2.0 will do the trick.WeekdayWarrior
Yeah since catering to a large player base is a bad thing
