[QUOTE="EntwineX"][QUOTE="icecream76239"]i suspect its because im growing tired of video games but stalker and oblivion just don't seem that great to me. i really thought i would love stalker but it seems bland and fake(i don't know how else to say it). i don't even like the gta games. these huge open world games don't do it for me. now i do like WoW for a while. mmorpgs seem lively but after a while i can't play anymore. these "open ended" "large world" games are over rated imo. give me a liner fps BUT WITH A GOOD STORY. whats so difficult about that? why they don't make more of those? im also tired of the online multiplayer fps like bf2, ect. its just too repetitive after a few years. suggestions?

I agree, I feel the same way. Suggestions? You mean suggest better games to you or suggestions on how to improve the general situation? If you want something that makes you feel compelled to keep playing till you've finished or has a good story, try Star Wars games like Kotor, Jedi Academy and Republic Commando, or Bloodlines and Riddick. And yeah, I know, you've most likely played all of those.

kotor, academy and blood lines sucked imo they are borefests. i loved riddick and commando thou

[QUOTE="BounceDK"]If I max everything out it runs like crap. I'm playing on medium and it still looks pretty damn good. All I need now is another gig if ram to kill all the stutters.

whats your specs.

[QUOTE="Paulioiscool1"][QUOTE="creamsauce17"]i thought this game was supposed to have massive system requierments

Quite the opposite actually.

well when it got announced people were saying OMG you have to have dx10 and 4gb of ram and the newest video card to even get medium settings i didnt follow this game at all since then so i had no idea how it was comming along.

i thought this game was supposed to have massive system requierments ... my system is amd 4200 dual core 7900gtx and 2gb of ram and i can max every setting. either way its a lot of fun but its not exactly as wow looking as i thought it looked when it was announced.

i have an amd 4200 dual core, 2gb ram, 7900gtx, 2x320gb sata ii HDDs and i run this game at max, every setting maxed with dynamic lighting and never even get a stutter im glad i didnt upgrade to dx10 it seems to becomeplete crap and probly will be until next year when optimized hardware comes out with proper drivers where as anyone who upgraded now will be feeling pretty stupid.

6800 does support 3.0, its not a very good card anymore. YOur system is obselete to play stalker with dynamic lighting, you need uber rigs, read the reccomended requirements, i'll list them, amd 4200/e6400 x1800/7900 1.5/2gigs of ram have a good day. go on wiki and search s.t.a.l.ke.r adn you will fidn them

2nd question the best nvidia agp is 7800gs, its not alot better than your current card the x1950pro is it will wipe that card you have now its the best agp card.

I myself run it great, qx6700 3.4 ghz, 2 gigs of pc2-4300 ram 1:1 ratio.. x1900xtx overclocked 690/800

you do relize that the quad cores are worse then dual cores for gaming they are at the moment more for video editors but defintly not for games .
