Nobody has been ripped off. If you bought the game on release date it is reasonable to pay full price for it. If you buy them half a year later on a holiday 80% off that makes sense as well.

That's how the market works, if you don't want to pay full price for games anymore avoid the crowds buying on release date and wait for holidays or weekend deals.

If you want to try a racing game go for DiRT2, possibly the best racing game in the last few years.

Just make sure you get the PC version and not the graphically dumbed down console version.

It may be getting old but GTA4 has a great and long story with a high replayability value.
