It is quite larger, but thats all the other consoles did. They didn't even change their controller much. Sony didn't at all, and the Xbox 360s was changed a little bit.bigcalkenobi
Ok, great, so they made a cool contoller. I have a Wii. I like it and I'll give them props for innovation. The thing that gets me about you Wii fanboys is how you can take one cool feature like that and all of the sudden nothing else matters. A fun game is a fun game no matter what kind of controller it uses.
I agree with pretty much everything in your post execpt the comparison of the processing power reletive to the last gen. I'm not a hardware engineer, but it has come from the mouths of several developers that the Wii is roughly twice as powerful as a Gamecube, whereas the jump from PS2 to PS3 and xbox to xbox360 is a much larger technological step.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the classic controller plug into the Wii remote and hence makes it wireless?Wiicraft
Sure, if it wasn't for that WIRE that comes out of the thing!!!
I know what you mean. I know it just plugs into the Wiimote and people would argue that it would cost more if it were true wireless, but I'd gladly pay $10 more to have a wireless classic controller.
It would be even sweeter of people would stop the whole "they should port ... Wouldn't that be sweet!" It's not like the Wiimote is going to magically make every game better. (Rival Swords, anyone?) How about some developers stop relying on the gimmick of the controls and make some original, inovative games so I can actually turn my Wii on more than once every three months.
