It's ridiculous how this poll has ratchet so close to mario.

Mario has been getting a bit stale, but he is still one of the greatest mascots for video gaming.

ChrnoTrigger

i know it's disgraceful.

i have 3 kids. My youngest has just turned 5, a girl. She is gaming mad. She plays any game she can get her hands on. I even had to password protect my PC's as she regularly played UT3 online aswell as games like TF2. She is actually very good.

She is pretty much always playing games. I don't mind her playing the wii as it atleast keeps her active but im concerned maybe playing PC and PS3 at her age can't be too good for her. I have tried educational games but she just won't play them.

What do you guys think?

Frozzik

You have failed as a parent, go get her the sims or something.

Well its not like i allowed her to play. That is why all my PC's are password protected now. Hiding the discs didn't work as UT3 and TF2 don't use them. She has been playing R&C for 2 hours this morning, i want to play some PC but she hogging the TV, she's like a rabbid dog when i suggest she turns it off lol.

throw her some money or better yet make a timetable so it's "fair".

wait i'm 15 and giving YOU parenting advice? :?

ROFL, yeah, who better to ask than the young uns. My other daughter is 13, she helps me loads.

OH YEAH if i were you i'd do encourage splitscreen as well. too bad PC doesn't have it :P

lol, its ok, i have 3 PC's. Me and my son play most games LAN, he is RTS mad.

OH WHAT that's unfair! d00d gimme sum plzzzz :P

LMAO good one! :D. as far as i'm concerned if it isn't hugely violent then i'd encourage our kids to game since it gets you peace and quiet and it err develops their motor skills. plus if they find it fun...

oh and EDIT: i duno about UT3 but in gears you could turn the gore off...

lol i'd say gears 2 because the detail is second to nothing. plus the locust do a really good job of looking hideous but graphically smart. and you can really see the character in the faces of the cog soldiers.

[QUOTE="lolkie_81"]I think you should be able to post any topic you want in SW. The place is just fun, arguing with gamers about textures and such. Who takes this place seriously? I go to alot of forums and SW is the most fun {not lately}. I think the mods need to lay off and let people converse and have fun. Thats what it is here for. If they get to bad people WILL leave. Giant bomb already has alot of Gs posters there. If they make the forums better, I may go myself. The modding is out of hand, I got modded for pointing out a troll. The list goes on and on so I wont go there, but I should be a level 29 or so.CaseyWegner

giant bomb is a mess. we DO NOT want that.

you only say that cos you happen to be a mod here. try becoming a regular user and see how YOU like being oppressed with "rules".

i have to follow the same rules you guys do. :|

well then get RID of the rules for everyone's sakes...
