Trying too hard now, Phil. Less talk, more show.

I can see this game getting a solid 8. The next installments in this franchise will be the ones getting critical acclaim. Nonetheless, Horizon will be a pretty good game.

@sealionact: And I'll pick up any SoulsBorne game over any Forza Halo Forza. I find Microsoft exclusives very shallow. Just my opinion.

@gamersts: Last Guardian got critical acclaim and was well received by the public too. No Man's sky wasn't developed by Sony. Sony only participated in the marketing of the game.

And I can say this for myself atleast, rather play new ips than yet another Halo, Forza, Gears.

Microsoft has a horrible track record of new ips this gen. The only good new IP they made was Sunset Overdrive which unfortunately couldn't even sell a million copies.

@pspearman: And correct me if I'm wrong but the first three Gear games got excellent reviews.

Gears 4 was nothing special from a story point of view too.

@pspearman: Most do. Look at how much Cod is blasted by everyone and doesn't score the highest score anymore. You can read user reviews and watch other YouTube reviews. The shooting genre is the shallowest but the highest selling.

@pspearman: It's shallow. Just point and shoot the same enemies over and over and over again. No tactics, not many weapons to choose from, it's just the same game as all other GOWs but with prettier graphics. Don't get me wrong, when Gears first came it was revolutionary and set an industry standard, but the same formula from a decade ago can't keep a game fun for long.

Only a couple of years late, Sony.

@fanboyman: 70 hours or so according to the developer. GameSpot have played around 40 hours till now.
