Trading cards have a real life monetary value attached to them, loot crates in video games like Battlefront 2 can't be sold for monetary value.

And that cereal example is just beyond stupid. Small prizes in Cereal boxes are just a sales promotiontechnique, the primary objective being to increase the sale of the cereal box.
